Best way to get stubborn Primal servo horns on new servos?

I’m wondering how to get these servo horns on without damaging my new servos.




Do I just lay the metal disc on a workbench and press down on the servo with force? Could I put it on with just using an m3 bolt without stripping out the servo?



Any help would be great. I got to cheater horns that I’m using for this steering axle but I have another axle I need to install the servos on.

Second this. If the screw head isn't big enough just add a washer to seat it under the screw and then take the washer back off.

Try a very long screw with a nut threaded on to the head, thread the screw into the servo as far as it goes, then tighten the nut to pull the horn on. It will ensure the most threads possible in the servo and turning the nut will not strain the threads in the servo.

Thanks everyone, I assumed using the screw would be the way but I like to ask questions before stupid mistakes. Now to sleeve wiring harnesses, FUN TIMES!

A late reply…

I received alternate servos for my Grave Digger with the splines cut different than the broaching within the servo arm adapters. My servos are a different brand than yours nonetheless, they were swapped by the seller and then the servo arm adapters slipped on with “no”issues.

In all my years of working with RCs I have never forced servo arms on.

Let us know how it plays out.

Got it on just fine using a longer screw, washers, and nut. I Left the Allen wrench in the screw and tightened the nut forcing it down like it was suggested. No issues, went on cleanly.
