Brake options?

Thanks guys (y) So far I'm leaning towards this MOD set. I like how they aren't metal on metal like RCR or the others. The booted disc's, I'm not understanding where the benefit comes there? It's not like I get anymore protection using them, can't I just boot the drive cup as it sits?

No not really, it would be hard to get a seal on the brake area at the trans when you fill the boots up with grease. The mod brakes take care of that. Although I would reccomend measuring the little orange they send with and get a few extras. I understand mod is a bit high on price for them.

Also the booted discs encapsulate the drive cup and there's an internal o ring that keeps the grease from seeping out. I opted for them as I seen the drive pins turn blue from heat so I wanted to be able to grease those areas. And mod brakes? Like mip real brakes?

Those are just 5t 2.0 brakes. Those came stock on my 2.0 and good luck trying to just get pads because its impossible without buying everything as you see it on that site... and thats why I went booted disks with rcr pads because the pads don't last on the 2.0 brakes

They aren’t necessary because you’ll have no problem completely locking the brakes but if you are dead set on upgrading them then get the mod brakes. I also don’t recommend just throwing money at the rig. Get it on the track and spend money strategically to get faster. Trust you’ll have plenty of chances to empty your wallet 🤣🤣

Agreed... Still haven't run the rig yet and have always been 2wd, this is my first 4wd. I'm used to crappy rear only brake setups.

The 5t brakes are👍👍👍 and have tons of adjustability. If you can’t get good stopping power money isn’t gonna fix it if you know what I mean
