87-91 is fine,I'm pretty sure that's what hpi says. Doesn't really matter though with a stock engine . With a higher compression moded engine I would run 91 though. People running over that with these small bores are clowns imo ? unless it was built specifically for that

Here in nj the highest pump gas is 93..and sean you said the oil mix knocks a few points off so I guess I'm running 88-89

Thanks to the moses magnuson act they cant force you to run one type of anything, as long as what you are running meets the same specifications as what they say to use, this goes for all consumables in an engine. Sorry sonny worked too many warranty cases to hear that load of poop. 95 octane is 95 octane the most they can ask for is an fuel sample and oil sample to send to a lab. Literally been there and done that.

What's important about good fuel like Vp its ethanol free. Pump gas doesn't even last 6 months, so that why its important to run quality fuel and I do use motul 800.
