god thais car is amazing.
one thing i would like to point out and i am shocked completly at this.my high end needle i had trouble tuning the car it just took a long time to find a balance,so i raised car up off the ground and leaned in some,MY GOD the rpm this thing reaches is insane.

finally i think i have it tuned right, cant wait to get another video of this in action now, going to be fair fast..:clown:

some goodies!

well i am going to run my car again tomorrow as i have got some goodies from hobbythek today.

got one of my orders today some tyres i also have few other goodies on the way but still waiting for them.
the tyres i ordered and got today are fg dtm new type tyres they are supposed to be the best 1/5th tyre on the market today according to hobbythek germany, they come pre-glued on white rims and have a lovely thread design and look like they have a great compound too.

supposed to be very good under all conditions.

some racing now tomorrow to try them out :2guns::clown:

There squigles, as i now them, FG fit them on ll there comp on-roads, very good grip but don't have the same ware rate as the krono's....they are new desighn wheels mate, not tyre's....
I see on hobbytec's web site, in offers of the mounth, they are doing a set of 20's and a set of 27's for 69euro's, glued on wheels, thats a bargain and there krono's mate.

hobbytheks headman reccomended these to be a lot better than kronos man for tarmac use and i have been dealing with him for a long time,he said they were a better tyre all round,in every aspect.

man that is a good deal too you speak of there...

we shall see how good these babies are now tomorrow lol

nice!!

hey beast i love my one i have never had this much praise for a standard 1/5th scale ever, well built, mine came with tuned pipe, great solo 23cc engine which is very quick, disc brakes up front, shell with decalls, and i have a few upgrades done, diff mounts alloy and alloy diff.

love your own too, very nice man!

do you still have them?

New videos!

so went to my track again today (huge unused car park)for some racing and WOW what a day, done some better tuning to the solo 23cc and cleaned airfilter, going great,im delighted with it now, couldnt use my cones due to wind but i will next time.

with the new fg dtm tyres it sticks to the road like spit,i mean the level of grip they provide is awesome, ran 3 tanks here today trouble free and not even showing any wear, they transformed the driving charachteristics of this machine big time, and thats no exageration!

got some decent speed here today, first vid bit slow and then as vids go on faster and faster lol

cheers super.

hello super

good to hear from you man i had a good old days racing today you should check out the next videos man a lot better, true for you i needed good tyres all along.

i might just invest in a set of kronos too as you said, good offers from hobbythek at the mo too as you said.

great fun today!!!

Hey DC, what rating are those-A&B's if so B's should be on front as they get hotter than the back-seem's strange at first but true.
B's are harder than A's....

good grip.

to be honest they are a medium compound tyre, thats the ones i asked for,and the way i have them fitted is the way they show you on the box.

basicly these are the ones hobbythek reccomended to me as i explained the aera i was running them on.

cant complain with the level of grip i had today, was super!!

them tyres are awesome,i just hope they wear as good as they grip lol

MORE VIDS UPLOADING..............so slow to upload :(

yeah btb it is really going good,i know its a lot of money to buy these machines and this carson was given to me as an anniversary present, but i would reccomend one of these to anybody, they are sooooo relibale, compared to monsters they are under very little stress with small tyres and smooth surfaces that they are ran on.

i have the most vital upgrade done on it for now should see me through lots of hours of fun (diff mounts alloy and alloy diff) granted after that you need just the plastic gears now and then and some tyres.

all in all great piece of kit for the money i am delighted with it..and i was never much of an onroad fun untill now.

cheers super 654 that is a really good idea,i never thought of that now. must call in to the plumbing shop for some hose lol

good idea!!

update.

just an update on this carson model.

i have an extra bodyshell on the way(same one) for display purposes at home reason being the shells gets pretty rough from driving with rubber and oil and just general running around.

also i have the spur adaptor on the way (my own elcon one that i have spare wont fit) so to compliment that i have a harder plastic spur gear on the way also because they do tend to be a week point, its nice to have it for spare.

strange thing is carson don't make any spur gears in steel or alloy just plastic, they just do the clutch pinion in steel,i have that on the way also.

with these simple cheap upgrades i should get loads of relibale run time from this machine.

i am not going to upgrade to my alloy rear lower a-arms untill completly needed,(taken off my fg beetle when i had to put on the new elcon ones) also i have loads of alloy balljoints for it and alloy engine mounts/gearplate and others too whenever required.

for now its a matter of testing out how reliable this machines parts are going to hold up,nothing is going to be upgraded unless really needed.

more vids on the way.
photobucket is a nightmare for me lol:clown:

DC, you need to borrow the neighbors cat and duct tape it to the microphone on your camera, that way when the wind blows you wont hear it... Might hear a little meowing, but that's OK!!

Looking faster every time I see it!

Trip..

haha

yeah trip was a hell of a windy day.
do you know what the worst part of rc ownership is,you always want to be running the damm things lol

i am getting the hang of this onroad now its good fun man to run, gives the fg a break for a while....

everytime i run it i seem to be able to drive quicker, especialy with the new tyres they would make you very confident, some grip.
