Iv'e been thinking about buying a Losi dxl buggy but have heard of some negative things about it etc shocks are weak, plastic parts, weak motor and so on. If, I did buy one I was going to purchase Oneil's brother widow maker or the long reed 9.7 hp Zenoah. have you guys expreinced any problems with this rc. Would should be upgraded frist? Hope to hear from you soon.

Raido servos first shocks aren't real bad just limited to adjustment
Now with big power your going to brake drive pins in axels they are not expensive just annoying to change them every 20 min if you jump car
It's not a bad car just a price point cat and it shows at times

Bolting the fuel tank in is pretty important too. Just use longer screws that go right through the mounts but put a nut on the screw. A big thing is just keep going over the buggy when you're done driving it. Make sure things are tight and lubed up. The rear screws holding the rear bumper on (that go into the rear hinge pin holder) ripped right out of the bulk head on mine. I just threaded in a more coarse #12 screw and it's been fine. The left rear and right front lower shock screw needs to be a reverse thread to stop them from backing out. Get a couple from a Losi 5ive. Stock servos are junk. I use savox but losi is apparently the same servo. I then went to the 5ive steering rod from the servo to bell crank. The Area aluminum bell crank is pretty f'n sweet and has been one of the best upgrades yet. Putting a nearly 10hp engine in will surely break driveline parts. I've got just a Zenoah 29 and the centre shafts wear out quickly enough. All the other shafts are perfect (because I grease them) It's a fun buggy to rip around.

How my DBXL currently stands.
http://1drv.ms/1sZUbxN
Alloy chassis braces, steering top brace, engine mount, clutch carrier and centre driveline mount.
Standard 23cc engine for the moment with Killer bee attached and Victory RC unsilenced big bore exhaust.
Just tweaked the shocks with 7k diff oil and DDM 20% springs in an attempt to lessen it bottoming out on the bumps.
And just this second finished fitting the X4 front Proline Desperados with grey Hostile inserts wrapped in KM AT tyres.

Heh, sitting and surfing YouTube, and what do I find...
Some guy has used a pic of my DBXL in hes vid:

I don't mind tho, fun to see ones own car in a random vid :)

Some pics of my dbxl. led lights, fullforce shields, HR piggy back shocks, losi pipe ceramic coated, area rc double arm steering and brakes.

Can I ask what size velocity stack you are using?
Where there any issues with the Cage interfering with the new Air Cleaner set up after cutting out the side panel? I have heard some guys say this set up wont clear some things???
Thanks
