Diving in a little more I found what the noise I was hearing from the rear diff. Inner pinion bearing was toast and rear insert was broke in 2 spots. Luckily w the rcmax housing the inserts don't get reused. Pinion looked chewed up too. So put in an order at my good ole folks at DDM! Unfortunately DDM doesn't let you use their coupon for TLR purchases?

I love doing complete tear downs. its one of my favorite things in the hobby.

Holly?? rear diff ? caught that just in time ? seen some guys over here selling spiral ring and pinion gears for losi ( like mcd ones) keep the camera rolling ??

After the bath and some air, wd40, air, silicone, air, and black magic bearing oil. In that order?

Radio tray got some simple green foaming crystals then some air and a silicone wipe down. No water used.

Let me get everything together after this build and I'll let you know. Between this build and the initial build there may be a whole 5ive or 80% or something?
