This is a diy option for a 35. I'm ordering this along with the billet case and nachi bearings/low drag seals from OBR. This will be going in my offroad small block baja dragster. Reason being is offroad small block is 39cc and under. Onroad dragster big block is 35cc+. I'll try to update progress as I build and test it.

Is piston port better than reed for drag racing?
Not necessarily. There's so many variables for a win that I've seen piston ports win races also. There's some fast piston ports out there. They seem to be better in offroad races of 200' as compared to 132' and 165' onroad. The G4z pp is an animal. So is the ESP. People underestimate piston ports.

Case was delivered yesterday. The picture on the obr site showed v1 but thankfully it was delivered as v2. Waiting on the RT35 kit to deliver now. It shipped from Australia yesterday also. In the meantime I gathering the rest of the parts like the gaskets, head cover, and coil to finish the engine.

Still waiting on the delivery of this thing. This is the only downfall to Roostertail engines...the wait/shipping.

Ordered on Dec. 29th and here it is today, Jan 18th and still sitting in LA. At least it made it to the states. Unfortunately Cali has been having a ton of flooding and it's been sitting in LA for a while now. Once it starts moving again I'm looking at another 5 days from Cali😪

Look what finally showed up today! The return nipple on the carb was dead on arrival. Gonna need to replace that. Everything else looks good. How do you change that? Never done it before. Everything else looks good. The velocity stack certainly is different. Guess the build will start tomorrow. 👍🏽

@Seandonato73 would be the one to answer but I believe you just rotate and pull up on that return nipple.
Yeah I talked to Damo at RT and he said you just pull up and the nipple will come out.
...what's the story with the plate on the intake?
It is the RT Raptor intake. Supposed to lessen the chances for any warpage.
