So when you run your finger around the inside of the cylinder on the walls or around the outside of the piston you don't feel scratches . That's good. Unfortunately all the pictures you posted showed the same view of the piston and the same angle of the cylinder. All the cylinder pics were looking at the intake port. None of the exhaust port . Same with the piston. All were looking towards the piston form the fly wheel side. The big thing is you shouldn't feel any scratches. You should see the cross hatch pattern in the cylinder walls which is normal.
Don't sand the cylinder walls. You need the cross hatch pattern ( those fine micro scratches) for the ring to seal against, works with the oil in the fuel. If you sand anything just the edges of the port openings.
PWhere I drew the arrow is what I was wondering about . I don't know if its a scratch or the edge of a port .

Hard to tell because of the shadow. It would be nice to know where the ring was pinched between the piston and cylinder.
Thats what i meant...just sand the edges and make sure they are smooth
The more I look the worst it gets.

Yea it almost looks twisted. I don think the piston is ever gonna slide smoothly across that. Probably eat the ring up in that spot tooYour piston looks fine to me. Your transfer bridge (the part were all worried about) I could go either way.... still really hard to tell from the pics. But it almost looks like it's been tweaked a bit.
1000 grit sandpaper and wd40..is it alright to do the same with piston ..because there a scratch that didn't show in the pics.Your piston looks fine to me. I'll post the result once I get the ring ..then if it doesn't work out .i'll buy a new cylinder and piston and will have learned something new.all this is the result of overtightening the the muffler bolt..one ldad's to another.peaceYea it almost looks twisted. What cc is the current engine?Yeah ! I hear that..but I just want to see what happens first..then if it fails ill9 be looking for 34cc head and new piston..
its 34ccWhat cc is the current engine?
ok i hear that..its probable that both the head and the piston is jacked after my sanding job. ebay seller danic 4 ..i believe he has the right replacements ..55.00 bucks .so stay positive its gonna happen.Iv been real positive about you getting going until now ......ditch that head put a zen head and lessons learned
What !!!!NO! Sure that grounds for a disciplinary hearingheck ingot the high flow fuel lines and body wrap for the DBXL and haven't even had a chance to take them out of the boxes to post up some pics.
goodSo what ever happened with this . How are you making out .
