..........ps the pit lane is the bit on the main straight.....arty-time:
well guys my mind has been working again...what about using old conveyor belt!!!!! say from a quarry.. if we had the tyres we could put the conveyor belt against the tyres and making a neat edge for the track....
plus i got a bit board and started doodling.....:w00t::w00t:
yep the track.....:celebrate:
track one...
as the pic we have the start/finish straight and i thought we could have a couple of small bumps after turn 1, then after turn 2 and just on turn 3/4 have 1 small bump, then in between turns 5/6 we could have a table top jump and the we could have 3/4 very small and close together bumps just on the start of the long curve to the finish line..
track two...
we have the start/finish straight and then the same as track 1 a couple of small bumps after turn 1,then a table top jump on the mid and top straight and then on the last bend we could have about 6 like ripple bumps then onto the straight to the finish.....for :cup-1::cup-2::cup-3:

Been thinkin of tracks too,
What i'd like to suggest is: a long straight, we all like to go flat out.
Up and under (table top and tunnel),
Ripples as paul suggests too (with a long route flat opinion),
Pos a couple of banked corners.
I'd get to drawing some layouts for peeps to look over, lets see everyones take on the subject and we can prob include whatb we all want.
Lovin all this, roll on the summer.
The figure of 8 track that was on a vid on another thread recently looked like fun :w00t: Could you incorporate a loop round with a jump over a section of track to make it a bit different??

i think is a good idea for club officials, but any nominated officials should be within a stated distance from the club. what would you guys think of this?Nice one Paul. I have sent barry a pm re taking things to the next stage. Will keep you all posted.
If we build the track we may as well try and incorporate from the start any requirments the BRCA have that may/will allow us to host national events. A raised pit straight is a must.
We will all need to get together down at the proposed site to not only meet the heli guys but also to decide who takes what role, we have to make the club an affiliate of the BRCA (£75) and to do that we have to appoint club officials eg. chairman, secretary etc.
I went into my local rc shop Hobby Corner and asked about putting up some notices about the new club, he was very enthusiastic about it as the wrexham club had shut and the oswestry one is on the way. So he is willing to promote the club too. he did ask if it was open to other types of cars? and i said the i don't see why not, but they would need to join or pay and run but they would need to join the BRCA for the insurance.
I'd like to suggest that we set up a Club Bank Account and members pay in a standard charge of £5 per month (£60pa) to use and for the up keep of the track. Non-members pay a set Charge for the day which will go between the Largescale and Heli Club to split.
This of course when its all up and running.
So if we have say 20 in the club (can see us getting 20 easy) this would generate £1200pa. This could go towards the Sea Container whether its hired or bought from the farmer and poss a Portaloo (much needed in the middle of a field and no Burger King to pop to  ).
Any thoughts whether this would work or not.
