I had those on all my rigs and boats and ill say this. If you want to add to the "look" sure but not worth the pain in the ass it is to strip and crimp the wires as well as dealing with the fiberglass hairs you have to deal with when you cut back the shield. Also if your not super careful with the knife and have no experience making plug wires I advise not to do it
