At high speed it's still steer with the throttle but they're like that standard.

Great info @Phill. I am going to order a pair for the front of mine to try. It does kinda push like you described. Tons of traction though..

@Phill here are a few new upgrades. I broke a few teeth off my rear crown diff gear and decided to upgrade the housings and put a belt drive on it. I also got some Rovan truck tires a little taller hoping to get some top end

Thanks!! The DR has been down due to the crown gear. So i haven't tried the new wheels and tires yet. Should have it together for the weekend. I got them used. They are for the Rovan LT short course truck. We will see. Thinking I'm going to like the higher ground clearance.

I saw em on ebay
195 x80 rears and 195 x 75 fronts.
Be interesting to know how it steers.

Any idea where I can get a longer servo arm to fit the stock steering servo?
I think that would improve our turning circle.
Also which steering servo are you using?
I'd like to stay with 6v if possible.

The way mine is setup, the inner steering link hits the diff case on full turns left or right. I had to adjust the endpoints to where it is just about to touch the diff case, otherwise the servo strained. So I couldn't get anymore radius out of my steering than that.What are your thoughts on a longer servo arm?

I am using the Hitec d845wp servo for steering. It is a big boy, so I used the aluminum redcat futaba mount. Had to drill and countersink two holes in the chassis for the mount. Now I am using a 2s 7.4v lipo, but it will run off 6v just not quite as strong. It's the best waterproof servo I could find for $100 US dollars. Tons of torque. I'm half tempted to run two of these in my MT

I'll have to look at that inner arm.
Just checked and it's the same so unfortunately nothing is going to improve it .

I am curious if these aluminum housings for the diffs will give more steering link clearance. They aren't as thick and bulky as the plastic. Hoping to finish it up tonight. I am also going to double up that top upper chassis brace in the front for a little more strength and use nuts and bolts rather than relying on those weak threads tapped in the chassis itself. Another question/ idea I have is. Will the 7075rc steering rack made for the XT work on the Dunerunner? I'm sure I could fab it to work, but not sure I want to drill any more holes in the chassis. I know it works on any X series

The aluminium diff housings would have to be the same or the dog bones would be too short?

Yes they are the same that way, but they are not as bulky. The plastic has to be thicker to handle the power. So I'm hoping I get a little more steering because of it

Well I get more movement out of the steering rack now with the aluminum diff housings. I can actually put the steering endpoints at 100 percent rather than 80 since the inner steering links no longer hit the plastic case. Almost done Man!!!
