Took the courage of opening and lining up all the parts bags.
Front and rear diff have been installed. I will post some pictures soon.

Quick question. Is it normal to hear a little rubbing sound from the belt ? or it has to be completely quite after the plastic housing and tensioner has installed ?

No problem TandT, if you have anymore question feel free to ask and I will try and answer them if I can.

As for the belt rubbing question, a little rubbing sound is normal. The belt does rub on the chassis but as long as everything turns smoothly and there is no binding you should be good to go. When I took mine apart you could clearly see where the belt was rubbing the bottom of the chassis.

Thanks guys

It is just the noise. Both diffs are moving smoothly and no binding. I have never used a belt drive except for in Helis and was not sure if I did somethin wrong. More pictures coming soon. Thanks for confirming.

It should be fine, just make sure the covers are on the right way. While I was building one I had the bottom cover on wrong. Basically the top covers the top of the belt and the bottom covers the bottom part of the belt. Keep in mind the weight and torque of these have to have a tigher belt then what you are use to.

Front suspension

Sorry for the quality. took the picture using blackberry. camra card was full :(

Does anyone know how to put the Elcon aluminum front brace instead of the plastic FG stuff ?

Another q?

I am close to installing the radio gear but would need some advice on what battery I could use. I am using a single servo for steering and wondering if I could hook it up to rx as normally one would do or o need to power the servo separately ? Any pictures of radio install would be appreciated

I am using 2 Rhino’s for the steering and 2 7955TG’s for the throttle/brakes. I have them hooked up directly to my receiver with no issues so far.

As for the battery I have mounted it in two places, the first was in the stock location. You can gain some more room for the battery by cutting the posts that support the receiver box so the receiver box is resting on the belt enclosure. I have used both the special pack I had made and a standard hump pack in this location. I now run the car with the battery zip tied to the front axle reinforcing plate, since I am using hydro’s and not cable brakes I am able to do this. I moved the battery to this location because I wasn’t sure how the heat for the pipe would effect the battery long term.

Hi mate.....your steering servo should be mounted in the centre also i see your gears are round the wrong way, should have the grub screws on the inside next to bearings as they have a flange on them to stop binding on the bearings.
