First Impressions of my New 5T V1.5

I love this truck. I don’t know how I went so long without one. Breaking it in on Thursday required a lot of patience but I made it through. Friday I drove it for four tanks and would’ve gone longer but ran out of daylight. Today I installed the tuned pipe and put another 4 tanks through it. The pipe really woke it up and pepped up the acceleration.

So far the only casualty has been the front center driveshaft boot tearing. These things are really tough. I’ve been beating it pretty hard and jumping it a ton and it just keeps on going.

I took everything apart today for a good cleaning and while I was at it, changed the diff fluid all around. Front-Center-Rear — 30k-60k-10k. I will test that out and see what I think.

I need to place an order soon for some upgrades and believe I have a decent list going, I continue to add to it as I read through the forums each day.

I hit that jump probably ten times. What a beast of a truck.

Also, the Futaba 4PLS is awesome! The manual is very thorough and set up was super easy. I got my killer rc kill switch all set up and everything works as it should. More updates to come.

Several parts are on the way and I’m eager to get them installed.

On a side note, I’ve gotten really rowdy with this truck and it just asks for more. It’s amazing.

Is it possible to post videos here? I need some help regarding some slop that I don’t think is normal. I did not notice it when I just recently tore everything down to change the diff fluids. I am afraid to drive it as I don’t want to hurt anything. Thanks in advance. I didn’t want to make a separate post for this.

Took me 4 watches to see what was actully going on.?.i could hear it ?? Needs a few shims imo?

So I did some more investigating and discovered that part number LOSB6535 is missing. This is concerning to me as I never touched or removed part number LOSB3208 when I removed the front differential so its not possible that I accidentally lost it. So the only explanation is it was missing from the factory? Is that a normal problem? I checked the rear of the truck and it has LOSB6535 in the proper place.

(I am referencing the parts shown in exploded view on Page 71 in the 5ive T manual.)
