So my losi has not been starting as easy as I thought it should. So I tracked down some NGK CMR7H spark plugs. Not as easy as go down your loacl spares shop. I had to call NGK ZA
Asked them who in my area is selling CMR7H lucky there was a place 15/20 miles down the road. Got home popped the new plug in first pull motor fired up (y):punch:.
So why? How does a plug get fouled? not like it had tones of use maybe 4 tanks.......

Mate, sounds like you are running rich. Everything else you are doing seems spot bollock on.

I would try this. You’ll need 2 people to do it comfortably. And you need to be fast and slow. You don’t want to run lean lean for more than a few seconds.

1. Warm engine to working temp.
2. Wheels of the ground but car held or stable.
3. Screwdriver on high speed carb screw with screw set to factory rich setting.
4. Full throttle and tweak screw from rich to lean until you you hear max revs and then lean pop or slight decrease in revs. Then back screw off towards rich by a tad.
5. Try a high speed run and tune accordingly from there. One run at a time.

Do that and you should be golden with your settings. That’s why a rev counter can be handy, but this can be done with your ear.

I’m probably talking poop and someone else will tell you otherwise.
Forgot to mention the good old plug colour temperature check after each run.
