Any idea where you are at with a db level ?
Keep in mind that I was using a sound meter app on my phone and standing 10 feet away, perpendicular to the exhaust. I was expecting to see numbers ranging between 80 and 100. At idle, my 5ive-T with 32cc engine and unsilenced DDM Dominator was registering at 67db. A 5 second full throttle blast was bouncing off 80db. Silenced, I was getting 57db at idle and 70db at full throttle. Before I got the rc started I was picking up individual cars/trucks passing by my house between 42 and 51db. Speed limit on my street is 35mph. Everybody does 40 or better.

The silencer dropped the noise level by 12 decibels at idle and about 10 during full throttle blasts.

Thats ALOT. For those who needs a memory refresh. A single decibel is DOUBLE the amount of sound as the one before it. So the sound is reduced by a staggering ten to twelve times.
The one with the small chamber would look so awesome on my MTXL. I modified the Losi/Bart pipe so the exhaust barely looks out from under the wheel arch in the back. Maybe it would grind at the wheel when I land from tall jumps but thats a worry for then and when. If I don't win, I may have to copy this design.
