The same manufacturing cost for the KM is about the same cost for the HPI or basic FG off road don't be fooled...

manufactured for $200-300,,,,, mass production = lowerprices for the manufacturer

Who told you that?

The genuine Baja would mostdefinately cost more to manufacture, better plastics cost more, genuine CY engines cost more, tighter manufacturing tolerances cost more.
Of course genuine HPI Bajas would be cheaper if HPI flogged them on ebay shipped direct from the factory but that doesn't give a company much credibility and certainly wont put them on the shelves of every hobby store in the world.

Bigtoys why you insist on mis quoting everyThing i say is it cause you have nothing else worth say.

See above...that's called a quote. I have no need to misquote you, when you say such stupid things of your own accord!

You are the scottish definition of a BAWBAG LOL

Come on man...get creative

Kooltoyz, I know that you are not the full quid, but proving you wrong is a piece of piss. You constantly go the raw prawn when saying how great the FS cars are which leaves us Aussies gobsmacked. Why don't you use the good oil and tell everyone that the FS cars are CRAP.
You are the Aussie version of a WHACKER!

GOLD Jerry, GOLD:clown:

So hellya are you gonna be selling hopups for these new clones - the FS and KM?

Maybe a new company called FShopups.com could be formed, that way people would order and TRUST who they are ordering from - at least the first time anyway... or would the lead times kill you like last time? Or was it the poor service that killed it... not sure really

Are you talking about www.fg-hopups.com ......ya thats my old baby:)

My construction business took off...I blow up in a matter of 6 months...I went from framing 2 houses a month with 1 framing crew of 3 people.... to runnning 3 framing crews, working in a 1000 home subdivsion ....framing 7-8 houses a month:helpsmilie:

what do they pay framers in Aussy per sq ft to frame a house.....here its $6 a sq ft..a 2000 sq ft home = $12,000....We frame houses between 1200 - 4500 sq ft

I didnt have time to run a website business and deal with customers the way you should when you want to have a good internet business.....Ask anyone who orders from europe normally it takes 7-10 days to get a order to the USA sometimes longer.

Now in the USA the housing industry is going through a slump, alot of homeowners are losing there homes to adjusting arm loans.
I had a home loan go/adjust from $1500 month to $2300 then I refinanced to a 20 year fixed @1600

The slump has effected alot of people that work in the construction of new homes....

Because of the foreclosures (estimated 2 million homes will be lost in the year 2008 to forclosures) houses sit vacant there is alot of vacant inventory through out the USA right now

checkout his website link it lists houses in forclosure in about 16 states...they go up for public auction 1 a month

www.recontrust.com

This is just 1 website there are alot more........... it has close to 20,000 homes listed

FS-Hopups thats a good one:clown: Hey now that I have time on my hand I might just do that...thanks:rock-on:

We only need FS hop ups cause ALL of the upgrades for the HPI baja work on the KM baja.
There is a ample supply of aftermarket baja suppliers in the USA...alot of upgrades

Why do the clone manufactures need to be told what to improve, are they that dam useless they don't even test there own product? Have you asked them for a share in the company profits for helping them with there, um, R & D, no that isn't right, copying abilities.
Yeah after 4-5 revisions it may be slightly better but by then it will be well out of date, as the fs was already out of date before it was even released.
Sounds like kooltoys has had quite a few problems with his clones reading through that list, I would have chucked it off a cliff and got something decent.

Ive worked in manufacturing for 10 years for some of the biggest companies in the world like nokia and dell and all good companies look for consumer feedback to both design and improve there products. Anyway the chinese are copiers not designers the problem is they try and copy stuff and make it cheaper and sometimes cut corners and make foolish mistakes, they also do test the products but im sure its not the same sort of rigorous tests a MCD goes through since it took years to develope the EV0 2 time the chinese don't have. Yes ive had a few problems isnt this what the forums here to discuss? and anyone considering a clone is doing so for a reason ie they don't have the cash for a MCD.

Yes but in my opinion the clone is not worth it, you end up spending as much as you would if you had bought an MCD in the first place. I have seen this situation happen myself with a number of clone buyers so I have good reason for forming the opinion that I have.
It also seems to me that the only positive things being said about these fs cars are coming from people who sell them, interesting.
I am most definately keen to see a budget priced 4x4 1/5th on the market I just don't see the fs as being it. The Titan is a much better buy, not perfect but still a much better buy than an fs.

I could not have said that any better myself. I am so happy we are all in agreement now.

I used that servo also, but it doesn't fit straight in it needs to be modified before it fits. The HS-5745MG is a better servo but its twice the price and it also needs to be modified to fit but i reckon you could get away with only one of the 5745MG's

Thanks

its in

well lads its in went to germany to pick it up opened the box to find a wonderful car inside so went for the radio gear and found that the git sent me a AM radio system and  fail safenot a happy fellow but that i can get sorted then looked at the body it was damaged buckled so that i will have to also get sorted but I'm not angry or disappointed these things i was expecting.
back to the body its prity flimsy and the side bits also
I've took some photos of the car will post later :cool2::2guns::)

Why would you say you could get away with 1 of those 5745 servos and not one of the 805bb???

the 805bb is stronger(more torque) and faster the the 5745 and its not digital (don't know if thats good or bad)

Just know I have burnt out 2 -5745 then I switched to the 805bb and never had problems since.

Torque 250 oz. Speed 0.15 second @ 6V.....5745

Torque 343 oz. Speeed .14 second @ 6v....805bb Almost 100oz more torque
