Fuel filter maintenance?

Hello I finally got the black rubber vent off the fuel tank


and now i'm here:



the filter does say "walbro" (i don't want to throw it away/replace it). It looks kinda dirty?? Should i oil it with the "motul 800" or the "motul a2" that i've ordered and are supposed to arrive tomorrow? The sponge is completely dry

i thought walbro only made carbs

Edit: i did search it up on google, but i can find only nitro results. I also searched on this forum, but they were only old threads where nobody actually answered

It's called a fuel clunk, ddm sells those.

They don't need oiled or anything like that. The felt is the fuel filter. Doesn't like bad or dirty to me, they all discolor after any amount of run time.

If your getting a new one..grab a winged felt one from DDM..a buddy on here recommend me to it and love it.

Always just tossed those clips. Massive pain in the but, and never had a filter come off without one unless the fuel line is shot.

Want a simple readily available solution, use zip ties.
