This was mine first reactive engine. I now now that there is no base gasket fore that.

I bought this engine frome a friends if mine with that ngk plug (fore mine next engine i will use the standard plug fore sure).

This week i will assemble the engine to see what went loose. I will post mine findings here.
Just asking as it kinda looks like a plug strap could have been banging around in there. Honestly doesn't take much to grenade a top end in these little things.

check that the piston ring locating pin is still where it should be mate,
that damage looks very familiar to what happened to my obr 34 reed,
the engine got very hot and the pin actually came out, worked its way upwards and hammered the top of the piston,

Hello guys..

Thank fore keeping this case alive, i learn much frome it. I have taking the engine completely appart (sadly don't make pictures, sorry fore that). I am sure the inside is not sandblasted, i find some ironmorter inside the bottemend of the crankcase. The damage on top of the piston and top end of the cylinder is to big fore sand. I did not check fore the piston ring locating pin (can sombody show what that is) but there was a open space 2 ore 3 mm where the pistonring was zitting on the piston.

So i think the explanation Spent give is very plausible.

Hey man.

There was no damage on the spark, so i don't think that have give the damage.

Yea I know it wasnt from sand, I just wanted to show you how little it takes to wipe one of these engines out. Your doing fine but I do caution if you ever plan on using that bottom end again then I'd suggest type find the source to that piston getting damage. Something damaged it there's no doubt about it and seeing that I'd say it came from something that was ment to be there internally in the engine.

I know and thank you fore that. I have read you post completely and wake me up fore sure, i will never drive again where sanddust is hanging over the field.
I throw the bottemend away, don't wanne take the risk.

Im gonne start over with my new G320F3 it will arrive today :-)..

I have one more question about the G320 reactive that have gone to Hell. There was not a standard flywheel and ignition, there was a K1 race ignition mounted, can thet maybe overload the highly reactive engine.

the k1 ignition is aftermarket from tps mate,
basically a superlight flywheel and i think the coil gets relocated cos the flywheel a smaller diameter,
plus coild different as well i think,
it shouldnt have made the engine fail prematurely ,
