I should have gotten the CNC head on our GT40s , your motor sure is eye candy . Be careful with what you clean your new baby with as My buddy sprayed strong simple green on his 40 and it does not look good now!!. The next time he has it out we are going to buff it back with the foredom. Wecome my friend to the world of trashed drivelines..lol

Welcome to the rcmax club, spectacular engines they are. View attachment 49675
Very sensible build you have there! It's not over the top. So with those spikes, you have to screw them in from the outside I assume, is that correct? Also, what's the tubing you have covering the front light wiring? I think I've seen that mesh-like material on RC fuel lines. Who sells it?

Lastly, what engine chassis shims did you use to hold the engine? I seem to find stock 19, 20, 21, etc. sizes but my new pinion is 30 tooth. I was told FOnzie makes some but they seem odd in that they protrude down below!

Yessir, they are brp knobbies and a one piece tire/wheel design.
I would also recommend the IRC big bore shocks for it. My stock shocks in that pic even with the heaviest orange losi spring sagged extremely bad. The IRC ones are very nice quality and are a much heavier spring and shock 49678

I don't use engine spacer inserts, never had to. It's just fuel line covering and wiring.http://www.davesmotors.com/Braided-Cable-Fuel-Line-Sleeve-per-foot-Blue-.html
