General question: G320 vs G290

So earlier I was considering if I needed a new engine or not...
I was looking at a Zen for reliability and quality.
DDM has the 290 and 320 longblocks, just $10 difference....

So a couple questions for my education...
Aside from displacement, whats the real difference between these 2 motors?
From my position, I have a baja with a CY26cc, and I have changed enough things to make it reliable, running standard gearing (57,17 - i think)...
If I wanted to get one of these long blocks and not change much else, which one would be the better choice and why?

Only thing you'll need is a new clutch case and engine cover.id get the 320. More torque ,more power, and more potential for alot of HP. The 30.5 will rev more but I'd get the 32 any day.

I could be mistaken but mine didn't and the ddm listing doesn't show or mention it coming with.

The 30.5 will rev harder then the 32. The 32 will pull higher gears either way you'll end up with more power from the 32cc and have plenty of options for upgrades.

Just make sure to get good tires as you will spin more with the 32 . It also depends on your use. For offroad I think the 32 will be the way to go. For on road , 30.5 and even less (29, 26cc) are better ,as they spin more rpm and have less torque (so you wont be spinning out every second)

G320 hands down and combined with the right exhaust=savage.. also can do a full esp race port and 2mm stroker crank for a g340rc like in both of my rigs

Oh forgot to say g320 gets my vote as well... I have them in both my rigs

Yep solid engines specially with the esp ported/ stroked.

Might try the same combo with the high rev piston on the new losi 5t that I got.

Sure man. I spoke to Doug and he said it is recommended to run 100 octane but I am running 110 anyways for the vekta so shouldn't be a problem.

Depends but generally you don't need to . It's good practice though, to avoid possible leaks as the surface usually isn't perfect and nor is the gasket. So I would

its a paper gasket so it should conform, if I notice any leaks ill put some, i don't have any atm
