This guy's lawyer absolutely sucks. At best he should have been charged for leaving the scene and found guilty of negligence or recklessness in civil court. Seems there was no criminal intent. In my opinion, the punishment is absurd. Sounds like it was harsh because of the injured girl's upcoming wedding. Would he have received two years if it was three weeks before Christmas, starting college, a dream job interview? I think he had an impartial judge.

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
