Can someone explain to me how not having a tuned pipe generates more power when all the tuned pipes state they add horsepower? I'm scratching me head over that comment... Does that velocity stack get in the way of the roll cage without modification?
The 1 in. velocity stack works only with a low profile filter. My comment was the new carb., filter, 29cc 2 bolt big bore kit, and velocity stack added more power than the tuned pipe alone did on the stock 26 cc fuelie. Tuned pipes add power but mostly mid range-to top end. My mods added all bottom end power at reduced noise levels which is what I needed most on the 5ive T. If I put the pipe back on I would enjoy an even greater an increase in bottom end to top end power, but the noise would irritate those closest to me, family & neighbors....I had the un-silenced victoryRC pipe and it was fantastic on mid range and top end but like rubber band torque on the bottom end, the heavy 5ive T needs crisp throttle response off the line. The above mods. do just that, at stock noise levels.

Ok, that computes.. I run the DDM dominator and a silencer in front of my house.. neighbors are pretty cool about it.. I'll be taking the silencer off for Race season which starts in mid April... counting the days to race in a clase with 7-8 other 5ive-Ts.. gonna be a blast..

That DDM pipe would really benefit from the 813 carb. swap. The DDM and Losi pipe are the 2 best for bottom end boost. The big bore kit will be good value too, when the 26cc top end wears out...Totally changes the way it jumps and drives out of corners, much more manageable to keep on its wheels.

is it like a stinger that comes out of the exhaust? Or how does it work? I want to get a tuned pipe but don't want to have everybody around staring at me.

How the heck is that jeep running of a single 550 motor?????????? Are you using it as an rc strictly?

Its not a RC, but it is a small single rider Power Wheel. It is meant for the little little kids for their first one. She's just a peg leg (only one wheel drive). When i was assembling it i pulled the cover off the motor and it is the same size as a Titan 12t. It doesn't go fast at all and the darn thing gets stuck on anything other than a completely flat and smooth surface. I thought how cool would it be to link the rear wheels and install an 1/8 scale brushless set up and let the daughter go nuts!:lol:

Dude that is kickass!! I figured somebody out there has done it already and I can totally see myself getting jacked up on Mountain Dew and trying that! I got a short run on the 5ive today in the street and without trying to sound like some hipster this thing is dope! It is flipping boss! I was really surprised how hard the truck accelerated. It was on asphalt with is an easy surface and it has a good coat of road sand built up but the 5ive would donut as long as I would hold it. Flipping amazing to drive! I'm going to run a full tank or three tomorrow in a parking lot to get a feel for this monster. All our snow is starting to melt so it is pretty soupy in the grass. My wife came outside and asked "what are you chainsawing?" When she saw it run she smiled, shook her head and said ridiculous. I know she wants one.

I got my first full run today at the local school parking lot and WOW! I absolutely love the way this beast handles. It is soo kickass to run it down the back stretch, let off the throttle, drift the rear around, slam the gas and go. You can tell there is a lot of track time in this chassis. The handling is phenomenal, so realistic and calm. I guess I'm used to twitchy 1/10 trucks. I think I am completely ruined now. I did a little snow bashing and got the servos a little wet, hopefully they will dry. My Killer Bee is on order and after I sell my 1/8 buggy the lipo receiver pack is getting ordered. I can see why they say the 1/5 scales are money pits. These ROCK!
