Yeah it is, but both kv5 and the kv5tt have the same chassis

Are the main deck plates the same size? Sorry guys haven't seen these in person yet. Just pulled trigger on a KV5TT. HOPE I made the right choice! Found all this great info and a lead to this sweet lookin battery/transmitter box Haric hopefully still makes,.. thanks to crucialRCs YouTube channel?

It’s all the same. The kv5 has a wider stance.
Did you get the kit version or RTR? Make sure you loctite everything.

Also any thoughts on the cvd drive shaft DDM offers..is it an upgrade or a replacement part?

A lot of guys with the 1st gen vektas upgraded with the ddm drive shaft. My kit is the 2nd gen version. So far, I’ve never had any problem with mine.

They’re sold out everywhere brother. Just keep an eye out for a used set on eBay. Also keep checking back on ddm website and kraken website

I still don't get why no one makes any parts for the Vekta.You would think even the Chinese copy cats would have made a few.Take the spindles for instance.

I honestly don't think it's all that popular of a 1/5. It's expensive and has a reputation for not being reliable.
