It's likely pro-line was having issues you just didnt hear about it like kraken.

If they didnt buy them out, they may have just went under completely. If they weren't having issues it's likely the owners wanted to get out and horizon made them and offer.

When bass pro bought cabelas I wasnt happy as bass pro shops suck compared to cabelas. But so far they are keeping them relatively the same and not changing much. Hopefully they introduce a good tire line up, but it isnt likely
 
Amazon is the China of the us - business wise!.
Where do you think "Amazon Basics Brand" comes from.
It'll shock the S#*t out of you how they do it. Seriously read the terms and service agreement when you sell through Amazon!!.
Short version: Amazoon has the right to take your product and copy it except for the exact label. All those Amazon "Basics" are stolen from the original makers/sellers. Amazoon service agreement grants this as a right!. They copy your product and then they sell "your" product and undercut your prices!.
That's how they were able to become such a large manufacturer so quick!, It's all in the user agreement.
This dirty little tactic has devastated small companies.
That's why some products never are sold by amazon.
Resellers are different because their usually not the makers of products they sell.
There is so much crap large companies do that's technically illegal,but.....
There have been a few videos and articles about Amazoons underhanded tactics.
The crap they tried to pull with the pc makers was crazy!!.
The one thing I give besos credit for is when he said :
"He was out to take over the world".
He's achieved that unfortunately at a high cost to America.
