going to play

That's a lot of motor and money no matter what you do what are you going to do play or race or just spend money
Something we all do on here but it helps to know your plans
That motor is $900 or so and I have a $900 motor that I don't run a lot just race because it's a waste to play with if your going to race I doubt you can make time with the 34 or so reed and the 30.5 would just be able to
My 28.5 just makes 30 min
But if you are just playing there is the problem heat buildup in the clutch with these big motors so be aware of your play area may be to small

Just playing some racing, so what are you recommening? The 9.4 onb is $680 the esp race ported and the price $500.00 . So do you recommend. :D

The G320 and a pipe will do just fine and there's money left over for other stuff like turtle racing air filter or a ? The point is the 320 is $304 and a pipe $215 and it will do just fine playing or racing
And if you get the bug bad and want a full on race motor you can get one later
The only difference between the 320 and a full on one the race one will have a little more top end
And won't last as long
For me I won't play with my race motor so my truck sits I have 2 fives one race and a play truck
Yes I spent $1300 to save a $900 motor

If I did go with the g320 it would have to be 7.7hp Full Mod Zenoah G320RC 31.8cc Engine.:cup-1:

If you do you will like it
It's a killer motor right out of the box stock so mod should fly
They take a big boar pipe to a regular pipe will work just a little smaller in diameter the openings are smaller to
I'd go with a quite pipe to some places require them to race and I see it getting worse or better how ever you look at it

thanks

Where did you purchase your pipe from? DDM doesn't have the chrome.:o

Whats your opinion on the .9hp Full Mod Zenoah G340RC 34cc Engine +2mm Stroke Crankshaft?

The +2 will not rev as high just because of longer stroke
This motor will run great in a 5ive but will put a strain on the clutch
Why well you can overgear it and it will fly but clutch slip or heat buildup will be a problem
And I don't know because I don't Owen or have not been around one at races but I don't think +2 will rev as high as the mod even a mod+2
The mod one won't have as much tork so it will be hard to over gear
And the stock one will run just as good just have a flat spot in power at top
My point unless you have a insane track long straightaway you are not going to be able to use all the power of the mod or +2

That makes sense, 7.1 hp 6320 mod it is. Thx you again your very informative. If you get a chance look at the xs-5 in the mcd fourm under rally x4. Nice video of it running,

How much does it matter what size of engine the pipe is for?
I have a G320 with Bartalone non silenced 32-34cc pipe, and it is so loud it rattles windows a mile away.
Now up to this point Bartalone don't do a silenced 32-34cc pipe (in the UK at least) so could I go with a 30.5cc silenced version without ill effects?

With the g320 and the pipe you have that was built for the g320 you will get best performance. If you go to their smaller pipe for 30.5 and smaller you would lose a little power, im not sure top or low end. I hear the silenced pipes are not much quieter than their standard pipes, so Id say its not worth it for you to try, but its your money.

What's your impression of the losi dxl buggy?

There ok for a price point car Iv got one and you can make it go but they breake drive pins if you jump them over big jumps and land with power on its not a hard fix for the pin but it is aggravating when you're racing
If you run in loose dirt it wont happen or if you run on blacktop to may not break

It won't run as good as it could the motor will probably gain some tork and loose top end

Cheers guys and sorry for crashing the thread, will wait in anticipation for a silenced version.
And when I say it's loud I'm not joking, I have to wear ear protection!
Anything has to be better than this....lol

If it was full scale you would swear it was missing the exhaust entirely.
