The stock losi shocks are fine. Focus on other things first (steering rack, wheels, turnbuckles, engine, drive cups and shafts, etc.) then buy the shocks when you run out of things to buy and have a hole burning in your pocket. Maybe start up a build thread and upload some photos and we can give some better advice.

edit: +1 on what Doug said

Does that api rack fit the 2.0?any other stuff needed for it?

beef up the shock springs with the DDM HD springs ??, and when ever any bleeder caps give you ANY problems upgrade them to the new Losi style bleeder caps ??

Spend your $$ in the upgrades the fellas recommend above ???

Edit:
Here ya go, I recommend these shocks here. Read the details of each one and choose your poison ??

also I forgot to mention, you can change the oil weight in your shocks ? by doing this and upgrading the shock springs you should be happy with the 5iveT stock shocks ??

Though he didn't mention it, he has two 5ive-T 2.0 pictured in his avatar. Bleeder caps come stock on the shocks.

I was going to buy IRC big bores. I'm glad they were always out of stock when I was looking. They may be an upgrade for HPI baja shocks.?‍♂️ They are a slight upgrade to Losi in that they look great and it will take longer to experience fade because of the increased volume. Their claim to be dual rate is BS.
It doesn't matter how deep they chamfer the holes on the piston. Fluids can't be compressed and only so much can flow through the orifice. The compression and rebound will be the same on their pistons.

I bought these. https://modspeedshop.com/collection...kit-gun-metal-gold-edition-losi-5b-5t-2-0-1-0 I'm not going to recommend them based on cost. That's up to you to decide. For $450 you have to use parts from your current shocks. I think it cost me another $100 to build them with new parts and fluids. I wanted to keep my OEM shocks for spares. These are the only fully adjustable dual rate big bores that I know of.

Like the fellas mentioned, you can change the characteristics of your shocks with springs and fluid. For another $90 you can now make the Losi shocks fully adjustable dual rate. https://modspeedshop.com/collection...s1-pistons-for-5ive-t-b-losi-tlr-stock-shocks
