The point of this thread is for clone owners to list their first hand experience and get advice from other clone owners.

There are hundreds of people who have bought King Motor buggies. This is a place where they can list their personal experience an give others advice.

Here is a King Motor truck (T1000) which is a 5T copy that I own. I took it out for a run and here are come pictures.

hi mate i'll start off by sayin i was fg through and through and i didn't like clones, but then i saw the king motor buggy on another thread and have fell in love with it so much so i'm thinkin of puttin my leopard alloy rebuild on hold and buyin one so i will be keepin an eye on this thread to see what people have to say about them ;)

i have to say i myself was skeptical about the clones until i got up close and personal with the 5b and 5t king motor.. it is very well built and can take quite a beating! the thing i like most about the king motor, other than the price tag:D is the fact that all the hpi upgrades can be used! so if there is something a little inferior to the hpi quality, u can simply go to badboy hobby, ddm, etc.. and get some ass kicking replacement parts! if u cannot afford an hpi baja, but want one, a king motor is def. a good alternative.

Hey... I decided to order some of their upgrades but their shipping costs is a total joke... I ordered stuff for 51£ and it all ended up with 91£!!! For some alloy??!! I cancelled the order..

I got a Rovan Baja shipped from China to Sweden last week, a gigantic parcel... The shipment ended up at 88£... So I wonder how they figure at rcmodelz when they want 40£ from Uk to Sweden?? Retards... :nono:

Another thing is that they seem to have enormous problems to get in touch with??? I sent an email to them, asking if they would sell me a KM Baja with shipment to Sweden. It took 2 weeks to get a reply?! And their answer? Yes we do... Nothing more. As a said before, retards... I still haven't got an answer how to make the deal? I think it is a month now or so... Good luck with your business.

:2guns::2guns:not good mate but i only live about 30 minutes drive from their shop so it wont be a problem for me

I have had our KM Baja now for just over two weeks and these past two weeks have been better than all the years I was using nitros...All I have to say is Great Deal on the KM Baja.

Only problem so far was the front right wheel flew off yesterday, after getting the parts together it turned out the Eclip was open more than it should have been. New eclip and on to more fun...As far as my nitro's
:2guns: As soon as my two sell I will be getting a T1000

i recentley purchased a sq baja thinking there was no king motor bajas in the country. im a bit gutted because the king motor looks so much better. if anyone buying an sq please don't even run it until you have changed the shock oil the oil that comes as standard is way to thick i had a rear shock bend after 5 mins. also swap spure gear for a hpi one the sq one lasted about half hour. the rear diff is also an issue mine had very little oil in it which caused it to strip one of the bevel gears ive replaced the whole diff with a hpi one. has anybody out there got anymore tips on this model.

Make sure you check all your Cclips and make sure they are installed the correct way. The flat end should be pointed away from the wheel or item being held on. If not they will come off easier. Also if you find any Baja that has loose front wheels from side to side it will be the Cclip has bowed in and away from the rim. This will allow slop in the steering and a Cclip to eventually fly off.

The shock oil is the same in all the clones. Way too thick and seems to be more a motor oil then shock oil.
The rear diff should be checked with all the Baja's. This has been an issue for all the manufactures.

You should follow all the tips given HERE. And search around for any of the others.

Jeeze that looks good! Does the alloy come as standard or did you add that at a later date?
Keep the pics coming and vids if you can get them.

KM Baja T1000 E-Conversion

Hi Guys,

I just bought an E-Converted Baja T1000 from Dan and boy is it nice! Dan used a Fine Design e-conversion and installed a Neu 2215 2Y motor (750KV)! Once I got it, I installed a Castle Creations Hydra HV240 that had been converted with two heatsinks glued on the pipes with thermal epoxy, which makes it a land version! I then installed a set of Integy front brakes, with Python brake cable upgrade, and a set of KM alloy upgrades, a Hi-Tech 7955 high torque servo for the brakes, and a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" 48V cooling fan to make sure that the ESC and motor keeps nice and cool! I have also installed a pair of Kong Power 6S 22.2V 25C 5000MAH batteries in series for 44.4V! On 12S I have been advised that it will be insanely fast, so I dialed the throttle down to 66%! I have also intalled a wheelie bar from Team Go-Nads to help keep the nose down until we figure out how to control all of that power! According to Dan and Chris over at Fine Design it should be capable of speeds over 70 MPH!! That ought to be a sight to see, if we can keep it on the road! I will also be mounting a set of Proline Bow-Tie tires and Desperado wheels, with the alloy beadlocks! Haven't run it outside yet only bench tested it! I am still waiting on some Axial Velcro battery straps to show up and I will be ready to run it! I have attached some photos of it!
