im not much of a racer *yet* but the local track is the only place that has the space around me to really open up a 1/5 scale and yeah all the guys out there asked me if it was a Losi when i said no its a clone i was pretty shunned until it started and i was driving it then it was a totally different story lol..
 
Hahaha, @ nitrocat! A Cronie is not a bad thing, I myself am a cronie of several things!

Is the King Motor X2 a bit more respected than the others like Rovan? Seems to fly lower under the radar.

Just "run what you brung" I always say...I don't miss my Losi too much, being winter and all. I look forward to picking up a X2 roller soon.....

Went ahead and bit the bullet! Bought a lightly used 5ive with some nice hop ups. Truck was ran without the body so that is like new which is sweet! Was ran on track only by a local guy that had it listed on feebay until I snatched it up. Has a CY29cc motor with Dark Soul head and motor case. Savox servo, Pro-line tires mounted on black race wheels with orange beadlock rings, Bartolone brakes and skid plates, Chase ti front hub pins & more... Stoked on this as I was itching to buy a King Motors Clone for the same price!!! I have nothing against the King or Rovan though...:cup-1:

Hi, I have been looking at this car on the usa site and i want to buy it. I have knowledge on 1/5 some what. I own two hpi bajas. Are there any problems with the car? engine problems? breakages? any help would be nice.

Hi Guys, I bought a King motor and a losi 5, Both have already arrived. Out of the box the 5 looks better quality all around, no doubt ... Better plastics and better assembly. The back of the body on the KM already cracked (while I was moving the buggy around) and the paint job is very poor (paint is cracking also ). Other then that the KM comes with some decent upgrades and it does not look bad at all.
Already started the break in (4heat cycles). The zenoah G320 started on second pull, the 30,5 km motor started on the 30th , I had to sweat a lot and had to mess around with all the needles.... Not easy still does not idle well.
That being said the losi was not a pick nick either... Lost radio control and the thing just went full out, lucky for me she came in my direction , I managed to slow it down by stepping on it, then it hit a post and stopped.... No damaged , this thing is tough... Had a look at the problem and a simple faulty batery connector (5cts) could have cost me 1300€!! Losi should pay attention to this things, where is the quality control?
Still Losi's assembly quality is far better, the KMx2 after 2x10 minutes runs was falling a part and I had to stop the break in.
So far:
Out of the box perceived quality:
Losi 5- 5pts
KM x2- 3,5pts
Assembly quality
Losi 5- 4pts
kM x2- 3,5 pts

I will be posting more comments has I start the heavy duties with this babies!

I bought the Losi with the Zenoah 320 already installed. It runs great and seems to have loads of power! Once both trucks are through the break in I will do some power, speed comparisons between the two.

That is in nice shape with a great engine choice. So it was a RTR that you found used and the previous owner dropped the bigger block in, sweet!:w00t:
