Lets talk protection?

I'm interested in keeping my RC rust free and lubricated. I used to just spray it down with wd40 when it was a cheap POS however now I got something to be proud of. Allot of us have shiny metal and unfinished exhausts what should I use to keep it looking new?

Also I heard Kroil is good for unfinished exhausts however I want to use something that won't attract dirt.

Where are you storing it that your worried about rust? I keep mine in the house and never a bit of rust in over 15yrs lol. I disassemble often tho.

I just ran it in a little bit of snow. I like to hit mud once in a blue moon. I do clean it out well

I've been meaning to try this ceramic coating spray I got. Probably work well for repelling water.

Does it smear? Before the winter I put some of that on my trucks window tracks. Sprayed maybe a little too much and in the wrong spots but it left a residue for a while every time I rolled down the window.

Yep I use silicone spray as well. I use it my MTBs too it works a treat.

No it seems to dry very fast

Key is to get the dry silicon spray. I have some stuff here that is food grade and it's terrible to spray the car down. It stays tacky forever

I use GT85, also have a can of some cheap stuff called Protect and Shine, seems to do about the same as GT85
