Cabbie, you obviosly had a bit of bad luck with your MCD but I think it's no reason to bash them as hard as you are. I can put lots of pics of broken parts from my Hpi or my 2 Fg's that I had. They all break from time to time:crying:QUOTE]

I don't mind bad luck but when I buy a car for £899 then get told to up grade with another £600 worth of hop ups and still don't finish one tank of fuel in a year running on a flat track due to it falling apart I do mind.

The car was a pig and other guys that bought MCD's with me had the same breakages.

Remember the clown's car at the circus that fell apart, I think MCD employed the clown's to design the Race Runner.

And is this a free speech forum or like most American forums (HPI baja) you can only say what the admin want due to sponsor's and advertisers getting upset?

Cabbie it sounds like you had a bad experience. Which has had
huge influence on your opinion, that's is all to common. All cars
seem to have some problems. Glad that you found something that
meets your standard's.:D

I have never owned a MCD so I am going to give it go. I have
some really good guy's willing to help me out on this build so I
hope it goes well.:rock-on:

If your all interested in some pics. I will be getting a forum
members Baja 1000. Zouz10 reply #2 it is the Baja 1000 in
pic 2. He was willing to give me the chance to get all the
cash together. Since at the moment wasn't sure what I
wanted to get. Once I seen his and the deal I got on it. It
was a done decision. With some help from a few hours over
time I should have it in less then two weeks.:celebrate::drool:

i do run the heck out of em. i'm fixin up the fg roller for my kid. the one in the bucket lost radio signal and ended up in a lake, fully submerged in water and weeds. 2 weeks earlier it got covered up and lost while trying to climb a 40 ft loose sand hill. so I took the whole thing apart to give it a good cleaning.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I can not
wait to get this MCD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:celebrate:

That's exatly what I said 18 months ago, and 6 months ago I said:

"I can wait to get rid of this MCD"

Wishing you better luck with your's than I did with mine. :D

I hope to have better luck then most of
the guys on here. I am sure it will be
another learning prcocess. Have some
peeps willing to get in on the build with me.
It just keeps getting better all the time.

Well it will be getting shipped out in the next couple days...It
will only be hear for a couple days then it's off to JR at
Threshold so he can make up some compesation chambers. I will
get some pics before it leaves.
This will be the longest waiting game ever. I just hope that I
don't have to many problems with it. It always seems that it a
50/50 split on the people that like and the ones that don't. I just
am happy to have something that is 4wd. I would always entertain
the idea of an FG Baja 4WD. Even if the MCD is as good as I hope
it is.

When you get pics from JR be sure to post right away!!!!!

Complete? Neither in my opinion. Change up your location for better help and support. Where are you located? This should also help on what will be the best over all supported truck for you. Also what are you looking for 2wd or 4wd, they are significantly different in many ways.

I have all 3 of those cars. Forget redcat, the new mcd v4 is a brick, A DAMN solid car. It's bash proof outa the box. My radio conked out on me about 3 weeks ago while the car was pointed towards a 6 foot hill stuck in full throttle. i took about a 20 ft, 10 ft high jump and tumbled with cart wheels and the car kept going. I've been doing my best to smash this buggy and it just keeps going. It's heavy as heck. I thought i'd never say that about MCD after my first RR, JUNK METAL.
The fg is a beast, fast as hell and goes nuts when your 2 speed kicks in. You will need to upgrade some parts to make it bash proof. It's a hard call they're both good cars. good luck
