Yes its fairly straight forward the engine does need to be removed to access the coil and routing the wire. Difficulty increases with how neat you want to be about it

Easy to install. It will take you 10 min.

Haric you could probably make some crazy stuff with ten minutes of your time.

I would say 30-60 minutes if you have to remove the motor and if the motor is out of the car I agree with Haric ten to fifteen minutes if you take your time.

Yeah don’t remove the motor.
Remove the spark plug, remove the screws, and move that top cover. You can access the spade connectors after moving the cover

I had an issue getting the plastic cover off it looks like it interlocks between the fan cover and the engine ?‍

No biggie to it. Just be sure they're secured tightly...sucks when can't turn the motor off at all

Any three channel radio should be able to work the kill switch, with the exception of the speky AVC recievers. I run futaba so no worries there.

Good thing I did a search before buying a transmitter. I was gonna buy the spektrum that horizon hobby were recommending with the 5t 2.0 I think it was the dx6 for $500
People that doesn’t know or do a search are buying that spektrum, thinking that they have to go with that transmitter because of the receiver that is included with it

I went with the spektrum dx5c with the sr6000t reciever and all is good including the kill switch...not knocking futaba growing up that was the bee's nees radio

Yes speky works, just need a non AVC reciever, like you got.

My spektrum would not kill the motor if you switched off TX?‍ altough I could hook up a kill button?‍.... don't have to worrie biut that now ??????

Luckily mine calibrated with full brake and kill for the default

I think I have said for a long time now that losi 5t etc should come with no servos or receiver them people can choose there own radio system in and there servos

Didn’t they do a race roller version once and I think it even come with a clear shell
