See the truck is in Scotland an it was on eBay he wanted 900 for it through eBay an I messaged him he said he will do it without eBay for 600 so I bit the bullet he is 70 years old so I don't see why he would say it's s losi an not be

Every chance he's been told its a losi.

What servo's are in it?
What radio gear (transmitter and receiver)?
What battery?
Kill switch?
How many tanks has the engine had through it?
How long has he had it?
List of upgrades.
Could also go as far as to ask what weight oil he has in the diffs and shocks, if he doesn't know then chances are he hasn't opened them up meaning they could be dry and dead.

Just so you know we aren't bashing your new rig, just no one wants to see someone being ripped off especially new to 5th scales.

So has the flysky radio, its what most 5th scales from RCmodelz come with. Good starter radio and can be used with lots of models with model memory.

The spare wheels and tyres he has pics of look like they are for a Baja.

Has a problem with the front brake, looks like he has lost one of the shoulder bolts.

Looks like Atop alloy chassis braces, shock towers and clutch housing.

Likes like a diy centre diff brace.

To me fella looks like a Rovan LT360 with about £150 worth of aluminium on it of which most of it is not needed.
If it was my money then I'd say £350-£400. Christ if I was to sell my 30DNT I'd only expect £400-£450 (no im not selling)

I would proceed with caution and explain to the guy that it's not a real losi and offer him half or less. Look for a real losi or a 30dnt truck if you can't find a losi

This is what I have fella in black, had it a year now and its been great. The only thing you need from new is kill switch. Although I did buy skid plates and outer wears.

I know mate I have just spoke to him an it's a 26cc spekrum radio an receiver the flysky he has not long brought I'm awaiting him to send proof it's a losi do they have it imprinted on the plastics somewhere tbf I'll see what he says an go from there but he is genuine an said he has brought lots of bits for it like new front end an so on so maybe it is just had a cheaper option to fix he also said he wouldn't of put it on eBay as a losi as he can get done for sayin it's s losi when it isn't so I don't know tbf

Well maybe it needs a bit of work but the remote he has with it is spekrum an receiver do I'm in 2 minds I'll see what he says how can I confirm it's a losi ??

It could well be a Losi, it has at least a rovan servo for the throttle and the Rovan Cage and shell (the rear X is different on the cage and a pain in the ass on the Rovan to get to the pull start)
The earlier 5T's came with a 26cc engine. It has the push/pull steering, if its spectrum radio that is what came with the Losi's.
It could be like you say, a genuine Losi 5T just had replacement parts using Rovan, Atop etc.
If genuine Losi then all plastic like receiver lid have it embossed on them, my 30 degrees truck just has big ovals for where where to stick the 30 degrees stickers.

Oh ok well maybe it is then it's a Mish mash of different ones then lol he is adamant it's s losi an it was up for sale for 900 so I'm gonna take the gamble an if worse comes to it I'll just get better parts for it
