1x NiMH is fine and quite fast - as you say it will start to wheelie.
2x 2S LiPo in parallel is plain stupid but controllable IF YOU FIT A WHEELIE BAR !!! :lol::lol:
2x NiMH in SERIES is possibly a bit FASTER ....
2x 3S LiPo in parallel is what I have now, with firm springs, lots of alloy and a wheelie bar with 1/10 Revo wheelie bar wheels on, so it's close to the ground but permits movement - I got to half throttle before hitting mud and aborted.

This just puts a grin on my fact thinking about it.

I gave a quick 'blip' in the house and it launched itself and promptly bent the front bumper mount (alloy of some spurious kind) which has straigthened out.

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting ..... for decent weather, or a 'window' anyway !!

You will ENJOY this truck, it's the best out of the box truck of any scale available.

on friday the diff i expoxed let go i was running it on smooth bitumen of the front of a mates place, so this is the 4th diff problem ive had in as many days lols

ive orded a complete assembled gear box with diff, to start again i think the cheap 5 min epoxy wasnt that good, ill also get some more dog bones and some more threaded axels and rebuilt the rear end.
 
my new complete gear box turned uptoday so ill have to get the micro going and have a blast, i still would like to get new dog bones and rear axel but its not realy important at this stage as i still can run it and have some fun
 
well the poor micro dt has been neglected since i got the merv, ive got the prototype locker from adrian, i orded the other nite from the usa gpm threaded rear axel, atomic racing dogbones, ive already got the complete assembled gear box with diff to use for the rear end rebuild but ive been flat out working on the falcon the last few days, ill try and get it running over the weekend and use it while im waiting ofr parts to come from the usa for the merv
 
last night i expoxed my diff again, the one thats was already expoxed, ive got a locker to try out, but i wanted to wait till my new threaded rear axels and dogbones where here cause i didnt want to chew the new diff outdrives on old worn dong bones.



but today the new rear threaded axels and atomic dog bones turned up ill still use the expoxied diff for now trying to get as much use out of the worn dog bones and axels as i can for now or atlest till the diff lets go again.

ebay.com, a main hobbies, the toyz all in the usa, rc hobbies in australia sells some brusless stuff but you will pay over 50% more in price over the usa suppliers, all of my stuff including the car,s came from over seas
 
Not bad bud....skin grafts have all taken hold really good now..

Just have to keep up with my arm and hand exersizes which is why I got a micro dt and another hsp monster truck....

Good fun therapy...

i myself have teh micro DT (desert truck). i do not even run it i might have ran it twice LOL
