Already changed the plug, oiled filter, installed Outerwares and metal pawl just need to pull the diff apart and refill fluid and install killer Bee before startup. It's OK I guess it is gonna rain for the rest of the week.

Thanks for the heads up on the heat I can't wait to give this thing a good stern beating and see what gives:w00t: below are pics of my backyard MX track that it is for.

Thanks and yeah I am lucky to get to play there:) I am probably gonna get the tractor and section off a smaller part of the track so I can see it at all times, here are a few vids from the track.

Sure wish that was my back yard, of course now I have mountains for a back yard, can't complain about that. I grew up on a farm back in the day, I couldn't even count the hours I have with an old spring tooth like that, much less the newer stuff and 4x4 tractors to with it. I just love the smell of fresh tilled soil and fresh cut hay.

yeah we have a couple of tractors to use, it is just sometimes easier to grab the farm jeep and drag the track rather that burn some diesel.

I just had to start it before i tore it down for upgrades.

Dude that thing is sweet!!! Let me know if there are any issues with it. Thats the exact one that I want, and might be getting from my wife when taxes come back. By the way How much was it?

buy the cage risers, ddm i think has them they bolt onto the spots where cage bolts down in back, then the cage ends go on top those resulting in lifting the cage a lil to clear exhausts

The only thing that I have found wrong out of the box so far was the gear mesh was tight but that is why I like to do at least one partial tear down. btw the Killer B is installed and works fine with the radio and 3rd channel. Hoping to get the Diff checked and run it on the track Saturday.

By the way How much was it?

Dan has them for $829 HERE

Dumb question but how do you fix a tight gear mesh?, and why would you get the diferential checked?, and doesn't the truck already come with a kill switch?
Thanks.

The gear mesh probably got tight in shipping from being banged around, just loosen the engine bolts and make it right, as for the Diff they are known to come with insufficent fluid in them that is why I am checking and filling w/ 30k wt:)

Is it hard to fill the differential with oil?
Post a video if you can of your truck thanks.

you have to remove the diff from truck, when i did mine i bought the alloy split diff case, this allows you to only remove a couple things from truck to get diff out versus having to remove most everything to get the diff out, huge time saver, but once diff is out, you have to seperate the halfs by unbolting it, make sure not to let anything slip out of place as best you can, sometimes that is a pain, but can be done, fill diff with diff oil to reccommended height, which most say is just where it completely covers the cross pins in the middle. and a tip is to carefully spin the diff hub back and forth gently to work the fluid down in there as you go. once fluid is covering the cross pins reassemble the housing rebolt the halves together and reinstall in diff case. the rest is just reverse of disasembly. but if your gonna go as far as to break this down to do it, youll have most of rear already broke down, spend the cash to get a alloy split diff for the future, you wont regret that at all.

I dunno I was under the impression that if you bought this thing brand new You wouldnt have to do anything, except put gas in it, charge the batteries and drive.
