Believe Me soon as I get the required servo horn I will have this thing out...

ANDY , You have until about 10am tomorrow....shop opens at 9 so give me an hour to get home and fit the servo horn...lol

I'm glad its finished as it has had a fight with just about everything I have done..(read repaired every step of the way)

now it should be fairly easy to do most jobs on it...I know what to do and also know it will come apart correctly.


I cant wait to have a proper drive using my sticks..lol

I got no chance!! The amount of repairs you done it sounds like it was in similar state to mine - makes it more interesting tho and at least you know everything is now as good as the day it left the factory :D

I got to get rid of the steer wheel thing...its a hitec 2.4ghz as well , so its a shame I cant drive with it..

I like my old stick controls.back to 40meg. At least I know my radio gear is good.lol

when I can afford it I will get a new 2.4ghz setup. might go back to futaba..

I was like a bear with a sore head today when I found the knackered(very flexi ) servo horn.:mad:

I got the Code Core RC 3ch 2.4ghz when they 1st came out in March last yr and its been excellent. I paid less than £80 but not sure what they are going for now? They have all the settings you can think of & are dead easy to use. Might be worth considering then you will have some cash left over to spend on upgrades ;)
 
maybe ..Not sure what will need upgrading first...not alot left thats not already alloy.. rear diff mount and rear diff..and the front suspension mounts....
all expensive stuff so not sure if they will be getting upgraded any time soon..

hi mate,
i have the same one ,and use it one 4 cars .and it spot on ,just need one more reciver. the only problem ive had is the charging the batterys,if i leave it the batterys melt the case..................phil

I melted my case too! Contacted Schumacher & they sent me new battery holder & cover for £5 + VAT & delivery so happy days. I always remove the batteries & charge outside the unit now :rolleyes:
 
Well Its Broken!!!! :(

But its only a drive square that's come loose....:w00t:

Its still clean but did get a hammering for the half tank it was out...lol

My Wife has cut me some stickers so pics will follow shortly..

the cable brakes are crap...lol they lock up and the baja just slides.... there is no brake action..just on or off...I need to rethink it somehow..

Blue loctite everything :lol::lol: How did it run?
 
All my screws and bolts were covered in blue loctite..I think the threads are knackered...might need new drive squares..

It went like a scalded cat:w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:
over the moon with it...just as long as I can get a longer run next time..

I'm busy putting stickers on the shell now..lol...big kid at heart

Oh yeah I like it...sod the nitro's... my 1/8 buggy just cleared the sandpit jump at the school..the baja would have cleared it 3 times over...lol

thats when my fun ended...lol

wish I had bought 1 earlier.
