Too bad it is still raining!! If it's not raining tommorow I am definitly taking the car for a walk :)

Well, the sky was clear so i thougt why not drive the car now?!?!!?
The only thing that broke was a bit of the rollcage. I am going to glue it to see how that holds up, but I am going to order a new bit anyways. :D
Here is a little video :)

what bit have you broken?

I got fed up with breaking the alloy bars at the front..

yep ....another common area for breakages...mine is currently only plastic at the back mounted fromt the shock tower..then there is an alloy roll cage from there forward..

I'm still tempted to make up a space frame chassis for my spare car when I get a chance...:w00t:

Hmm, i don't think it is smart to upgrade the rollcage to alloy anyways. Because it is such an exposed area the alloy will probably bend :P

mine has an alloy main section with only the rear wing mounts being plastic and all of it has survived some major miss use and abuse...

If you read my baja rebuild thread..you will see I run my car hard and suffer a lot in the wallet department...:lol::lol:

I've been out with my car today in a sand pit. It was awesome.:lol: I had some really sick jumps, but nothing broke! :D I got some footage, (about 1 minute and 30 seconds). I will try to upload them today! :)

nice....just make sure to clean it well as sand will cause some serious damage and wear if not cleaned out...

and if not cleaned out next time its out and gets a bit wet the sand will hold onto the water and cause damage later on...

CLEAN IT OUT.....its better in the long run...

I will remember to clean it :) On the last video the dirt were everywhere. I did a full clean and rebuild then ;) Still 80 minutes before the video is uploaded.

And BTW if any of you could subscribe to me I would really appreciate it :)

I was cleaning it it and when I took out the servo saver it seems like something was broken on it. I am not sure if it is broken, but it seems weird seens this was metal and I thought the servo saver springs would have made it not break!

Anyways, I think this picture will explain better than me :lol::lol:

Is it supposed to be like that or is it broken ?

Well, I found out that it was the servo saver pivot pin that broke so I am going to order a new one. I hope I will get it running again soon :D :lol:

I have cleaned the beast now!!! I haven't put it together yet. It isn't THAT clean, but it'll do for now. I got rid of most of the dirt.
Anyways, here is a picture :)

That offer sounds great to that price. But I've heard that the 4wd isn't good. Some say it is, some say it is not. I have never tried the 4wd system, but people say that too much dirt is getting to the belt. It needs alot of maintenace on the 4wd system But you should ask somone else than me. There is a thread thats about 4wd competiton baja. You should read that, and decide if you want 4wd. If you "like" maintenace you should get it.

I have no experience with Nutech, but I would recommend stay away from China brands. If you never had an 1/5th scale before, you should start with a quality brand like FG, HPI or Losi.

And the 2 servos are for extra power. The big on is less powerfull than 2 expensive normal size servos :D

Hope that clear your questions :lol:

I have an FG Baja 4wd Comp. It has been one of the best cars I have ever owned. I prefer one servo over two. I don't like having two servos working against one another.

The belt system has been very solid with no issues what so ever. The belt is as big as a timing belt in some small cars!
