I loved it. But it was on my 5b and i smashed it within 5 runs. Yours is protected very good in the 5sc so you wont have to worry about that.

Do you think the team chase cage will work with it? I’ve never tried these rear pipes but I’ve had a 5b with a vrc side pipe and it had crazy power but it was on a rcmk 30.5 full mod

Got to wrench on the sc this weekend and added some upgrades that were on the 5b. So after working on the sc I have found that it has some upgrades, the clutch is a 8000rpm clutch and the carrier is turtle racing as well as the spur gear plate and clutch bell/ pinion are vertigo, rpm bumper and outerwear cover was included in the parts I got with it. The 5b came with the aluminum transmission case and hostile hubs so I threw them on the sc cause this is gonna be my favorite one out of the 2. The 5b is next in line once i get the sc finished. I’m anxious to try to paddles and sand tires on snow lol. Till I get my skis. Any suggestions for other mods or upgrades would be greatly appreciated!!

So I got a question. The guy I got the Baja from gave me some vp racing power mix 25:1. I looked around in my local shops and can’t find it in 25:1 but they have it in 40:1. Is that safe to run or is that too lean? I’ve seen some guys run 100:1 amsoil in they’re bajas but not sure how safe that even is. Can anyone chime in?

Ok. Sorry.. Once I get back into the game full soon I will have an idea again on what to use. There’s a lot of people that run expensive oils and a lot run whatever they can get they’re hands on, just wasn’t sure if they came out with something new that works better. I used to use amsoil dominator when I had my other bajas

Use whatever you like at whatever ratio you like, I personally run 40 to 1 in everything I own, and have been running klotz super techniplate. Once this gallon is kicked I'll likely be switching to a different version of klotz based on a conversation I had with one of their techs. I have too many 2 strokes to play the different oil brand and ratio game. Due to some things amsoil didnt do a wile ago, I don't use or reccomend their 2 stroke oils, but that was covered on a different thread, and I don't care to get into it again.

I have heard great things about klotz actually and I’m sure they sell this stuff at my local place. I live in northern Maine and my “area” is a very low population so we don’t have many shops but there is this grocerie store in town that sells the high end oils and stuff that’s where I get most of my atv stuff. Thanks for the advice!!

Just curious what version of klotz are you switching to. I have been running klotz supertecniplate as well for years.

Love the 5sc it’s my favorite iteration. I also bought a used 5b ss recently. I’ve been tearing the entire thing down and ”refurbishing” it. im probably 25% done and can’t wait

So my conversation revolved around one oil to cover all my 2 strokes, so saws, blowers, trimmers, rc, and whatever else. The issue was with long term storage. The caster can attract moisture inside the engine causing rust to form. It seems the big deal if from storage in out buildings with temp swings. Now in my case just about everything is stored in the house so it doesn't see those temp swings like an out building, but it was recommended to switch to the snowmobile techniplate, because it contains extra corrosion inhibitors that would prevent or mitigate the formation of any rust wile in storage. Now I still have about a half gallon, and haven't had issues in the past with rust on internal parts on stuff I've broken down to get going again. I also treat my fuel religiously with marine stabil, and every now and then it gets a shot of marvel mystery oil. Ymmv
