I know nothing about these but is it like all ok and safe to wind these little engines up with no load on them?

I going to use it just to help with break in a checking carbs. Running motor though heat cycles and I may blip throttle , but I won't hold wot. Losi is an easy motor change but the hpi baja is a little more involved . But a good question that I'm sure someone has an ansewer.
It is safe ?? but you must not run with just a clutch and no bell and carrier because you'll destroy the clutch spring? or take the clutch completely off ??

Its relevant info. Novarossi does nitro engine break ins with a air plane propeller to give the engine load and to also help cool the engine while being stationary. Not a bad idea IMO 2 birds with one stone
I'm sure that's just for cooling ??

Yeah std practice for bench break in of a nitro was to use a prop. Ringless engines need a bit of fussing about to get them wore in correctly.
