Hello. Literally just did a engine swap, carb swap, every single gasket swap. Somehow, the zenoah260cc keeps bogging down?? Only things I can currently think of:

1: Fuel. It's standard unleaded 95 from the gas station. Is that too much? Would 87 make a difference? Should I check whether there's ethanol in the fuel by putting it in a see-through cup and mixing it with water and checking for bubbles?

2: Fuellines. I swapped both of them, but didn't measure the stock ones actually👍. The ones I'm currently using have a hole with a diameter of 3mm. 5mm on outside, so 3x5mm

Are you confident in your carb settings?

Like I stated you need to adjust pop pressures in the carbs. This issue is going to follow you until you send the carb to someone or learn how to adjust it. As far as im concerned every walbro carb needs to be adjusted as 30+psi of pop pressure is absolutely unacceptable.

Gas cap vent blocked??? Supply and return line swapped???
I think the gas cap vent hole is very small but left it stock... I'll measure it today🙂
But I remember I put a O-ring into the "black rubber thing on the tank that has 2 holes for fuellines to go into", because before, there was fuel leaking out of it when I turned it upside down... maybe it was supposed to leak like that? Edit: can I check by running the RC (in place) without fuel tank cap?
Supply and return line swapped???
Yes, both of them. Is a hole with a diameter of 3mm fine or is the hole supposed to be bigger, so more fuel can flow?
When does it bog?
When I suddenly give a lot of throttle, but also just when it reaches high RPM's
Could be carb settings to
I tried the stock tune: Low speed jet 1 1/4
High speed jet 1 1/2 Full turns. It bogs like crazy😂 when leaning it it gets only worse or it even stalls, and when richening it I lower the bogging but it's still there.
Got a video of it bogging?
Yes I'll post it soon👍

Hi..i did the same as you..except the engine change..it still won't go to full throttle. Just dies..like no fuel
But bouncys back like good a un I don't think mine is a vent problem, mine has a large vent hose on it..??if I I fund the problem I will pass it on..fingers crossed !!.

Thanks! I'd almost be glad someone else is having the same problem too😂 I'm dealing with this ever since I bought the FG

just out of interest what carb have you got fella?
the 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 turns out will only apply if you're still using a 668 or 997 carb,
if you went 1107 then the base settings are higher,

Watch the obr video on engine tuning. There’s something your doing wrong
Alright sorry "I'm dealing with this ever since I bought the FG" I exaggerated this: the first week was fine. Then, for about a month, it was having these problems. For literally a day it was all good again and never since😒.
(On those days when it worked, I tuned it myself and everything was great, so I don't think my tuning "skills" all of a sudden left me hanging😂)

I think it was the wt543, wt534, wt548 or something like that... probably all will have the same base tuning settings right?🥲

It's like you almost had buy tuning richer, you said it bogged less. Is there a part you haven't changed?
I know how these things are annoying, had a lawn tractor that was running perfect, left it outside one night and it started to need to have the choke on a bit to run best, backfire like a boom when you shut it off, to lean everybody said....never found the problem, but the neighbor sacked me a few times what it was for engine cause it would never die, like 15yrs, it said 18 horse, but nothing comes close to the power it had, except my 50 horse farm tractor with a Bush hog. Still have it but the deck is a work of welding art and I cant get pulley shafts or blades anymore

I had an issue with my rig bogging out when I accelerated like it was being starved of fuel and soon as I would let off the trigger it would bounce right back to a good idle. I had my fuel lines on incorrectly.

Ensure your line that has the filter at the end of the line inside your gas tank is connected under the carb and your other return line is connected up top to the primer bulb.

Hello I'm back with another carb and a new fueltank-cap👍 I'll start her up sooner or later and check how it'll perform. Carb is a "WT668C 436"
