Doesn't sound like a gear more like a thin metal vibration like the brake disk. That sounds alot like a clutch ticking on the Baja bell when new but your on the gas when its making the noise. What type of brake disk does it use?
Awesome place to have some fun - And break stuff too!:clown:

i had the same with my fg mt it was the middle gear (drive gear to diff you no wat i mean )was lose and not meshing propely to much play thats what that is

I agree with you Sickboy. (There is a first time for everything!!!)...:clown::clown:

Sounds like the Layshaft gear / diff gear mesh to me

don't try to put the titan pipe on it.....it will fit because its the same chassis but you cant mount your cage anymore..... I'm running a Hpi can hollowed out

The arms/bones are shorter, than the titan, the shocks are also different...1 good thing the bones haven't poped out......and I will try!!

That jingle is not a fixable item...all steel gears off the clutch... heli cut gears on the diffs...The Titan has the same jingle...ask any owner of a 4x4 1/5 smartech.....

That BMX track is new.... only problem is they don't have a podium to stand on so you can maintain constant visual .....has alot of blind spots

Hey atleast the buggy is fence proff :) tank ##3 ballfield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r9v6iYQZI0

Look at this photo you can see how they made the roll cage with pins for taking it apart in different locations

great looking truck, needs a dam good tune up and a tuned pipe to liven it up. not sure about the jangling gears could they be shimmed or something to reduce the noise.

So the overall gear ratio is different to the Titan, where in the driveline is the difference? Might give Titan owners more ratios to choose from, and vice versa for thunderbolt owners.

Yeah I hope so. I'm slightly tempted to get these in to sell here but then i still have Titans sitting here :balloon:

The thunderbolt is not available yet... I got lucky and recieved this one for free... after some beggin and pleadin...... Smartech sent me 1 for testing and review :)

The bones are not poping out of the cups of the T-bolt like the titans are....I'm going to try to redesign the roll bar so the tuned pipe for the Titan can be used

Heres what the titan pipe looks like on the buggy.......I have to build a roll cage...but I can run it to see the difference in performance

The improved performance will certainly out way the inconvenience of having to modify the roll cage, I'm sure you'll come up with something positive. :cool2:
