Hey Tripppppppp..Yup some similar to the nitro stuff..I did see a picture some where with a water cooled RC..mini radiator and water pump...
Bigger the Better...Well the price has gone up for the replacement head with piston
to $60 bucks..Still a good deal and yes ported.....
Ask Team Chrome..he has this set up.....Slawhammer

Kwakr: this set up is 2 bolt or 4 bolt set up..Can use CY Bottom case..
DDM has this stuff on there site...Under Cylinder & Head Kits...
I will let you guys kow how it all turns out..plan on using the DDM rear torque pipe
Not sure about the RN Pipe yet...I may want to go with a 27.2 cc for that...
Was suggested that would be serious power that you still have control over...
Any thing more would be too much...

Thanks CSP...We will see what happens..If all goes well that will be grate...Then I will
sell the 29CC Billet head engine....I have to use some parts from that engine anyway
for this new build...ya know clutch housing complete,coil,flywheel,pull start...
Looking forward to this and getting it up and running...Hammer down from the get go
to seat the piston ring...drive it hard and it will last a long time..just like old motorcycle

Like its been said, If ever you need to do a re-build its super cheep for a "COMPLETE " new head.. And its ported!!
This is also a very well built cylinder head cover that is US made by a very good machinist.
I haven't had any issues with mine and haven't heard anyone with a issue but mabey a fin getting cracked on it.
It also looks kick ass!!!!!!
Mine is in a HPI Baja, Ill do the same soon in my Firehammer.

Hey Trip..that set up Marine head & darksoul cooling head is claimed by Dark soul too
make 4.25 HP.....Any way will be kool to get my firehammer and running..maybe
even with the RN Fat Pipe...Going to be serious power.....Slawhammer
 
Hey Trip..You will have to check out DDM'S site...There are 2 ways to go...
2 Bolt Motor or 4 Bolt Motor..,Depending on crank...28mm stock or 30mm stroker..
And crank case..CY or Zen....
So I can not give you the best idea for cost..It will depend on your application

2 Bolt & 4 Bolt lower cases.......There are 2 different cooling heads as well....

just share my thought here slaw here on this.

if you are planning on keeping your firehammer for a long time which i presume like me you will i would go for the full mod o neills 4bolt zenoah complete motor.

this will set your build a light.it is a mental good relibale motor,a one stop solution for once and for all,it will cost about $500 but in the long term will prob work out cheaper,in fairness by the time you get a head kit shipped to your door with new gaskets and seals/ case bearings your already knocking on the door of 200-250dollars....

and a head kit isnt really doing anything with out a modifed bottom end to match.

well im saving for a new four bolt anyway,its going to be the baddest most powerfull engine i can source,may even not be an oneills...:clown:
 
dc..O'Neail Brother's have some good engine's out there..as well as other Engine Builder's
Travor Simpson is a great engine ..Reed case and all....
Now you want to talk Crazy about engine's....Get a Oddified computer controled..
that is a radical engine....
AT the present time I do not need those..Building at present.....The engine I would want is over $1,500 USD...
This new engine build I am doing now..I do not have that much in to it cost wise...
Cuz ..I am a wheeler dealer on making deals for the best money ..low dollar
With the investment in this firehammer I have I can not afford to get rid of...
You can not really put a value on your hobby for fun...Cuz your going to do it anyway..
For me this firehammer project has been a medical theropee project...
With out this project and the great help from other's in the forum...I could not really
say if I would be around today... if not for this...
This is all I do ..eat ,sleep think about this hobby ..day in and day out every single day..
So I am just passing time tell The weather breaks and get out side.....

Hey ..Bigger The Better...yeah I am not sure how long the 4 Bolt case's have been
around...Maybe Timm man might know....Remember I am still a green horn in this
stuff..But do know the Smartech Firehammer very well now....Slawhammer
 
ahh yes but for the price of a head kit for the few wxtra $ you would have the four bolt motor complete ported.

but i think also for the likes of our rebuilds a head kit completes the build,it gives you a chance to throw some handy work on the engine and make it your own....

Hey dc ..I will use most of the parts from my 29CC motor...As two the 2 bolt case
it can be tapped out to a 4 bolt case...I have all the stuff any way...I have a extra
4 bolt Zen case I got last year...The head kit is all ready ported out...the lower case is nothing more than clean up any way..So I do have a ported motor....
When all said and done I will have under a 100 bucks in to it..and brand new...

sorry for jackin your thread slaw....but do these top ends bolt onto the stock cases?? or do you have to get the entire engine?? Im confused...hehe...you thought you were green!!!
