Cant start it because of bad weather???

He's scared he might tarnish the finish on that spectacular pipe. ;)

Sleet? WTF? It was in the 60's here in the midwest today and for the rest of the week.

I can't wait to hear how it sounds too.
 
Hey guys....Now I know your not going to stand out in the rain and freezing sleet to fire up a engine.....Csp...should I spit shine that pipe to make it glow?
Well according to the weather report...yeah sunny and 55* degree's on Sat & Sun..
Looks like we have a fire up planned...Can't just let it sit there with the engine just
ideling....got to drive it........Slawhammer........
 
Hey Teamchrome....I plan on using a short video for the sound of the pipe...
when engine broken in....I will try to have my son get a good running vid taken of bashing........I am just as excited about getting that marine engine fired up...
Hoping for the best from that Rn Pipe ..as I have read about and seen other video's
with that pipe..on other RC Unit's.......

I don't have any intrest in games....Only RC Things or going fishing...

Fishing ranks right up there with golf for me.......:yawn:

The best part of fishing is casting. The best part of golf is driving. After that, I'm done.

I don't think I have caught a fish since the late 80's.

Now fishing is lazy..ya can lay down and enjoy the sunshine...soak up the good rays...

Ok..I got the marine engine fired up....Not good...Ran about 30 seconds and froze up
Could not even pull the pull starter....I could pick up the firehammer with the pull starter
handle....Tighre than peepee's hat band..Carb was factory settings...fresh fuel 91%.. 25:1 klotz mix....
Only thing I can think of is I did not use enough oil on the piston ring and inside cylinder walls on assembly....I also add a few squirts to the top of the piston and pull over a couple times...( that I did not do this time)
So I drug it in the house for tear down....sat it on my stand....pulled the plug looked slight black to brown....Ok for the heck of it I add break free in the spark plug hole...
started to take parts off the firehammer to get to the engine....exhaust pipe...
air filter and carb to the intake...starter cover...fan cover...so had excess to the fly wheel...besides a couple of interuptions ..taking me away from the firehammer...
Ant way for the heck of it I put a strap wrench on the fly wheel...gave it a tug...
the piston popped free...I was thinking a c-clip came off the piston wrist pin cups..
Inspected with a light..in the intake...clean..no marks or scratch's...same on the exhaust side....So I added about 20 drops of 2 stroke oil in the spark plug hole...
rolled it over about 4 to 6 times..seems to spin free....So I put it all back together...
when back out....sat it on my small stand...now double checked every thing...
primed the bulb...set choke..2 pull it popped over..opened the choke..2 pulls
vroom vroom vroom...idle is set up slightly high...gave it a few high revs about 1/2 throttle....run it on the ground for 2 minutes..shut it off....By now it is dark out...
got a 30 second video taken on this second time starting up.......Can you say lucked out on this....I got the video in photo bucket,,but don't know how to get it here in my thread................I will have a better report on the firehammer sunday...I will have the engine broke in,, in a couple tanks of fuel..then can run it with the beetle shell on.....
