Ok guys..I had the firehammer out today for 15 to 20 minutes....
running from zero to 1/2 throttle....now that thing spins the tires like crazy,,
ya have to gentle squeeze the trigger....At 1/2 throttle it came up slide on the wing for about 3 feet...chewed it up a bit....not thru the 1st tank yet....All I can say it will
be a power house when the engine is broke in....I just blipped the throttle quick
and it spun around like now..no hesatation...,....Only way I can use those baja wheels
on the rear is ease in to the throttle....or there will be no rear tires....
I can say it would lay a good 10 foot of black rubber......
Engine did not seem to be hot...But I did not have the beetle shell on....
I will have better idea once the engine is broke in.....So far I am pleased with this
set up....engine & RN Pipe......But to be fair I should try the DDM Dom Pipe
to see which makes better power.....My guess would be the RN Pipe.....
I will take some video ..once the engine is broke in and ready to rip.....
Thinking maybe 1 more full tank of fuel....I don't know for sure...Some engine's
come around quicker....This part is new to me on these for breaking in
Hope to get out again in the morning...weather permits..........
So far seems like a real good power plant.........

Oh, quit bragging! Next thing you'll tell us is it grew wings and actually flew. Good grief......quit making some of us jealous.

Kidding of course!

That's awesome, especially since it isn't even broken in. Wild beast you have there Slaw!:cool2:

Hey my friend...Wish I lived closer to ya...you would not believe this engine....
I wish I was fibbing ya....But there are to many claims on this marine head to do that....
Wait till I get some video coverage....Maybe I could try holding the camera...Naw
for get that...It is to crazy to even try to control right now while braking in.....
I will see what the miss's is doing at lunch time.....Maybe get a minute or so in the back alley by the house for a small showing............
Totally unreal.....I never would have believed it my self.........
Be calling this thing......"The Wild One"........
Csp thanks for the reply......All replies welcome .....Slawhammer............

But remember one thing Slawhammer.....that engine with the RN-pipe realy do`nt have that much power.......actely it`s not even close to the best engines to day........:)

Look at this one;
http://www.rc-racing.no/index.php?target=products&product_id=32919

Here is a video from YT...this engine is not even break in yet...:)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoecA3gMito&feature=channel_page

This engine is a 4-bolt Zenoah, it`s build on a Zenoah G270......with our litle secret inside.....:detective:
The power torque and rpm is uncredible..........

At the end of the video the airfilter is full of wather and mud, you can hear the engine starts to bread hard.....

Just for the record;
This car use a Jetpro V2 pipe, the pipes on the marked to day is made for the 2-bolt engines. This pipes almoust do`nt put out any power on a 4-bolt engine........it`s a BIG difference between 2-bolt and 4-bolted engines.....

We are in this days working with Victory Rc to make tuned-pipes for the 4-bolt engines....think about what that will do to this motor.....hehehe

I`m verry happy that you like the RN-pipe....it is the best tuned-pipe ever made I think.
I know you have to save money for new tyres the next mounths....you will burn out a lot of them......

Good luck with your new set-up.....

egon.. Thank you for your reply....Keep in touch my friend....
I will be looking in to the engine you have there in Norway....
For now this small power house I have I will have to learn how to drive my unit
better..Before any serious power like in your video......
I am syre I will eat up tires now ......Thanks again for adding to my project...

slaw, can you buy replacement shoe ends for that? Sound like a stupid question to me since I would not spend 100's on a throw away. Let me rephrase that.

Slaw, how much are the replacements for the clutch. You will have to tell us what you think of it. I would be interested on how much adjusting it is really needed?

Bigger..The replacement for shoes are $19.50 for pr...Not much else to buy...
maybe a arm if got damaged....adjustment is made by 1 screw....1 to 2 turns in...
to make engagement...there are a couple different springs to use for engagement
med and hard as to stiffness.....Like I mentioned it will be a bit before I install this
I feel LB clutch's are better than elcon.....LB makes 2 shoe.3 shoe & 4 shoe clutch's
Just my choice for a better clutch...

Get your up and running my friend.....Slawhammer...

The Slawdude hooked me up with some primo parts. Alloy and CF! Well, partial. :cool2:

Alloy steering knuckles
Alloy rear hubs
Carbon Fiber radio tray

To top it off, I have a couple other parts I need to install as well:

Alloy diff mounts
Alloy gear carrier

Hey CSP...Get them parts mounted up..we want pictures.....
every body love's pictures and when some one up grades there unit...
All the best my friend........Slawhammer....

Now as to much thought in to clutch engagement....the 8,000 red spring is to much
which cause's the rear wheels to spin all the time..loosing usable power ...so on that note
you would want a spring from 6,000 to 7,5000 rpm....to get usable power and not spin the rear wheel.......Any body have any thoughts to this?
.......All Replies Welcome.....Slawhammer............

Hey Teamchrome.. It was recommended by a friend that races 1/5 scale to get the LB clutch for off/road use....Now that was before the elcon came out with 1 for off/road
4 shoe teflon use....There is a difference between the clutch's...Off road & on/road
If you look up a couple posts you willsee I got the 2 shoe LB clutch....
Will see ..maybe I will have to get the elcon 4 shoe off/road one....
Thanks for the reply......All replies Welcome..Slawhammer
