PS..you done a fine job on the tutorial....

Foam inserts will work from the Tarmac tires. I would take them apart and see what condition they are in though first, just in case one is torn.

Good deal on the foams. Sounds like you are getting our today's weather tomorrow. I think we'll only be in the 50's tomorrow. Today was a great day weather-wise.

Wait until you see those AT's. NICE tires! Hostile makes some bad ass tires. I can't wait until my front ones arrive.

If I remember correct DDM item tt300 for the tires....
There are a couple more up grades I will be doing a little later....
as for my project it has come a long way for a basket case of parts...
run 10 minutes and break down...make repairs...run again 10 minutes brake down....
If any one had there share of problems it was me.....as I have had it complete tear down
more the 10 times....so I know this unit very well.....Slawhammer

Ok..so what is this noodle thing?Never heard of that..must be a play toy
or flotation device for kids.....so what did you do: how big are they?
I know the dia is good size......Explain..new to me........Slawhammer.....

Check Walmart or something.
They are floatation foams about 4 or 5 ft long and vary in size and color.
Cost less than $5.
I cut these to fit the rim and tires.
They wont absorb water so no more wobble in the tires from soggy foams.
Should last damm near the life of the tires, and beyond.

Sold it.. been 2 years now, Bought the baja with the funds and now.. Another Hammer to build.
Took this the day I sold it and bought the Baja.

Slawhammer Special Test Run

Oh I see the picture whore was here again.......
Ok ..I got the slawhammer special out for about 20minutes..in between the rain..
and you know how hard it is to miss those puddles....Engine fired right up on second pull
I am on tank #3 for fuel...engine seems to be getting better right along....
those orig rear shocks did the trick after the rebuild..seems to have good bounce...
I hit the throttle for all different speeds for the unit...seems to scramble pretty good..
yeah I got it dirty....not super bad but dirty.....No one to take along with me to get video coverage.....so I took a couple pictures when I got back to the house....
The more I run it the better I like the engine.....Yes Trip I will get some video for ya...
As for parts I am good till winter comes....I may have to look for a new ride....
will see how it goes...I am just about all FG converted now for parts...
Maybe 500 too 1000 shy for the rest to be complete Fg....
For that much I could get a REDCAT MT....Or I just may decide to part this out on e-bay
It was fun to build up the firehammer....you say collectors item...yeah ..dust maybe..

Sound like some fun was had. They say as the engines loosen they get more powerful. How are you liking the new width with the adapters?

Hey Bigger The Better....I am using the ramtech adapters on the front with those
baja termac small tire...It handles very well..super quick on the turns...
For now I put the old orig firehammer tires on the rear...Need to burn up what's left for the knobs....pretty sure going with hostile at for the rear then....The adapters set the wheels out about 25mm more or 1 inch...seems to be better tracking....
Thanks for asking....if you go the route you will like it on your unit....

I have the adapters just waiting for the tire and rim purchase. I also want to go Hostiles,, thats whats taking me so long to get the $$ together. Want to do it right the 1st time.
