Ya that light kit is sweet. I won't be as advanced with tail and brake lights but will still look cool. even a couple strips of metal will make a good trigger off the servo. I considered making a plug for my lights off the lipo's balance tap but that just unbalances the battery. so the nmh can mount inside somewhere. no room in the battery box but I have lots of room down by the mudguard. I am taking the 2 new rims and tires with me to work to glue up tonight. monster tires...

a friend and old rc buddy lives a Province over just dropped me a line. He's moving back and wants to buy my 3rd 5th scale and come run with us. That'll be cool as we used to run the nitro bikes together. we run the bikes and cars at the same places so it'll make it much better. and I was about to convert it to brushless for a winter project...

my 1:1 car passed aircare and is insured for another year (aircare good until 2011). another load off my mind. business license renewal too. it all comes at the same time for me.

anyway. I am going to work on the body some. getting it mounted will motivate me to get it painted and the maintenance done. I've been watching some airbrush tutorials and want to try some stuff out. the water drop thing looks so cool to me

sunday we are doing some on road again. I'll borrow a camera and get some video footage. it'll be a small turnout as people are out of town, broken cars or working but we should have at least 3 and maybe 6

Cool on the friend moved back.....now you will have a bud to run with.....
good to hear on the car project....get out and run....Slawhammer

I was looking at the truck and thinking I needed to get fg bulkheads and the mt shock towers so things mount up better. The body posts are angled and too close to the pipe. The odd thing is it has a kick up chassis, but still uses the on road style bulkheads with the front taller and things bolted on at an angle... I was looking around and remembered about a set I let a bud take to try, but he had sold the fg since. He still had them :D ... so I met up with him tonight and brought them home. The adjustable front brake thing I have came with these. it was designed to use the same servo for throttle and all the brakes. and have fr brake adjustment.

anyway. it's going on the mt, so just need shock towers now, and body mounts... and one of sickboys mt bodies lol... I'll zap strap the plastic one on for now... I'll try the airbrush coming from Slaw on the fg one. this plastic one isn't worth more than maybe some experimenting to try that water drop design out
