@ STriikar - many thanks again. Sorry my post wasn't that clear. yes the ebay dude has parts for my car, but none that I'm looking for, that is what I meant. Re-guarding the broken link, I was talking about bigrcmodels.com Checkout link. They have lots of parts for my car, and you can put them in your cart, but you cannot check out. The checkout link is broken. I've emailed and called them several times, no response.
Yes in hindsight, maybe not the best idea, but I'm stuck with it now.
I thought Nutech was no longer in business. I wasn't able to find a website or phone number?? Again, thanks for helping and please do keep an eye out.

@ mark35 - thanks for the link, I will for sure check them out.

I'm looking for:

-I need a replacement fuel tank, complete with fuel lines.
-Fully assembled front and rear shocks, best ones for on-road. The shocks that came with my car leak and are not good at all.
-Front foam bumper
-Fully assembled front and rear wheels and tires. I prefer black or chrome and the tires need to be good quality for on-road. The tires that came with my Nutech GT5-R are not good.
-Receiver battery
-complete air filter housing, primary filter, and secondary filter for my Nutech 26cc engine. If nothing else, at least the foam filters.

Thanks guys!!!

Look if you read my initial post I said finding parts for nutech were going to be difficult.
Your car is 10 yrs + or so old.
I gave you a list of other companies that might have similar parts you can use. Your going to have to DIY on this.

1/5 scale Similar parts companies:
FS racing/ MCD / FG Modellsport / CEN /REELY / Duratrax / Smartech /Carson / Lauterbacher

There's probably other also.

I looked at the pictures and the car looks like its in very good condition. Does it run?,what's wrong with the gas tank?.you need to tell wheel hub type- square, hex?
I would think that getting it running is where you start before addition items?
Please start looking at these other similar cars for potential parts. You need to figure out the basics and you only do that by doing it. Ddm has some parts, air filters, engine parts if needed, shock rebuild parts and other parts.
You best bet for nutech parts is eBay and checking regularly.
When you can't find something then find the next best thing.
I understand your beginning but follow the leads I gave you.
I don't mind helping but I'm not here to fill your wish list,I have my own builds to work on.
Harsh, maybe but you have to figure out some stuff on your own. With that said-I'll keep you informed should I find a mustang as that's my favorite car.
If you need help choosing parts, lmk.

Yes, I'm looking into all of the advice you have given me, again many thanks. I am trying. DDM has nothing for my model that I need, but perhaps other model parts will work as you have suggested and that is what I'm finding in the other site you've suggested. you're right, it's just too old. I wanted to start by trying to get oem parts, but now will expand to other models as you have suggested and start experimenting.

The tank has 3 broken mounts, so only 2 left holding it in place. The shocks are leaking and are very stiff. I need air filter before I can start it, and a receiver battery. I've already tried ebay, came up with very little and none of the parts I'm looking for. I will check the wheels, but I bet I can find those and use other models wheels, those are low priority. High priority is air filter, gas tank, receiver battery, just to get it running. Wheels, bumper, and new shocks, body and tires are nice to have items.

I am trying, so I hope you don't think I'm not. I've spent a ton of time searching, emailing and it's just not producing results. My best find so far is bigrcmodels.com as they have all the parts listed that I need, but their site won't let me check out.

I truly appreciate your advice and I'm using it big time, so thank you.

I was able to order the air filter, fuel tank and a couple of other items from JHC. The only catch is they have none in stock so it's a waiting game to see if they can get product from China. Fingers crossed that I will soon be running. :)

That's all I ask is make an effort.?
This should get you on your way.
Here's some shock that'll work.
Laughterbacher are top line.
I'm going thru DDM,because they have these in stock.
Plus most people in the hobby use them. You can call them for help with parts also.

LOL! you rock sir! Looking at all that stuff right now :D
Very cool! I ordered the Lauterbacher front and rear shocks, air filter and battery. As long as the fuel tank actually ships from JHC, this is enough so I can run the car. I can't wait.

I'll remove the wheels and find out what type of hub I have and then start looking for better wheels and tires for on-road. That said, no rush there, I can run with the cheep stock ones for now.

Thanks again sir!

It's all in stock, they ship fast. I'm about to order some stuff myself.
I also need shock rebuild seals.?
You know you can always make some straps to hold down your tank.
2 Nice shinny aluminum 1/2"-3/4" strips across the top of tank bolted to the chassis.
It would add some classy flare!+save on a new tank.?

Good idea! I may do that.

PM me the link to the shock repair kit you need and give address, I'll order for you :)

Not necessary, but appreciate the thought.
I gave a link to the seals, which is probably causing the leaks. Even fg orig seals were known to leak. With the age of your shocks they need replacing anyway.
These are the upgrade seals.
I would try them first.
Good luck.j
Once we get it going then upgrade parts.?

I already got my order and I have a silly question. For the af240 cup air filter housing, I assume the top of the cup is removable so I can get to the screws. I'm not able to remove the top on my old filter housing or the new one, as those suckers are really on there. Is there a trick to remove the top of the cup housing? Maybe heat it up? I'm worried I was going to break it, so I thought I better ask. The description said easy to remove cover LOL BTW this is an exact match to what was installed on my 26cc engine.

Also, are these meant to be dry filters, or is there some oil I should apply? I ask because my old one was really soaked with something and extremely dirty. The description didn't say anything about oiling it. But most air filters require oil.

Thanks!

Ok, I played with the old one and finally got it off, man was that female dog. There must be an easier way to get that off. Would be better if the dam thing just screwed off, with threads. I'm guessing laying in the sun for a hour or two would make it easier

Thanks, I have some K&N oil and I'll put a little on both primary and secondary filters.

well, I wouldn't say I figured it out lol. I was able to get the old one off but I had to really pull on it and I wasn't worried about being careful because I have a new one. I'm going to try to heat it up with blow dryer and see if that helps.

I tried searching for a video to see if there was any tricks, but no luck.

Shocks are here so I'm going to be installing those soon. :)

BTW, JHChobby email is bouncing back, so I guess they went out of business too. Really sucks because they had lots of stuff for my car, just like bigrcmodels. If I could do it over, I would not have purchased this car. :(

I learned the hard way myself, so I definitely understand.
I bought an FG without knowing anything about them, boy was that a mistake!. Like you I decided to take the challenge!.
It's been long hard and expensive(Did I say Expensive-lol)?, but extremely satisfying when you get it going.
That's why I decided to help because you proved that you wanted to get it going.?
As far as jch, that's just what you run into with these cars.
I've had to get parts from all over the world,so I know the difficulty.
Remember at this point there is no reason to stick to original parts as there are better and more easily available parts that'll do the same job,if not better.

I'm happy because I'm making progress and I think it will soon be running. You're right, it's cool to see it coming together. I rebuilt my old 2001 Traxas T-Max truck a couple years ago. It was a PITA but cool once I was done.

I have the tank out, I'm going to epoxy the mounts back on, until I can find a replacement. I ordered new fuel lines. I installed a new receiver on/off switch and the new battery today and everything tested out ok radio wise. I pulled the spark plug and put some after-Run in, pulled the starter a few times, it seemed to turn over good and the spark plug looks brand new.

When I removed the cup air filter, the carb also comes off. I noticed there was no gasket between the carb and block, so I ordered one of those too. Carb cleaned up ok. I need to align the wheels and install the new shocks next.

what do you think of the servos I have in this car? Junk and I should replace or ok? They are loud, but seem to work.

The rebuild continues......

Well at this point were just trying to make sure it runs. You can always upgrade after.
I marked some tanks, just in case for you to see if they might work.
