I had similar issues with my integy ones with the bolts being too long. Cut em down or buy slightly shorter ones, job done.Hey guys I’m having an issue with my turtle racing quickdiff. The screws I had in my original diff seem to be too long for the turtle racing one. It might have to do with my car being the original Baja 5b rtr but I’m not sure.
I got it directly from ddm. Here’s a pic of it before I unpackaged itI feel like I should call shenigans on that tranny pic.
I got my quick diff from Dave's in November and it's the same 6 bolt configuration as we all know and trust. Turtle Racing has been silent for over 3 years now. If Dave modified his design from 6 to 4 bolts, I think we would have heard about it.
This pic looks like a prototype of the OG tranny before Dave went with the 6 bolt config.
@Cooper04 where did you order that transmission?
Which piece of the case are y’all referring to that originally had 6 bolts? Was it the piece that holds the diff in place?how strange, just looked on ddm after you posted the above and ddm pics still have the 6 bolt rear section,
must be a recent change by tr or sommat,
cuts costs down a shade by cutting an op from machining ,
yes mate, the rear section that clamps the diff into the front part of the caseWhich piece of the case are y’all referring to that originally had 6 bolts? Was it the piece that holds the diff in place?
Oh yeah, I see that on the ddm page for it now. That’s weird they changed it for whatever reasonyes mate, the rear section that clamps the diff into the front part of the case,
i have three tr quick diffs that all have four upper and two lower bolts, mine are older ones though,
yours has two upper and two lower bolts to hold that rear part on,
You’re all good man ?Damn that's pretty wild mate! ?
Mine was in gunmetal, which might not be as popular as silver. Must be an older one compared to yours. Strange they would make such an obvious design change without versioning like they did with their clutch kits.
Sorry for casting doubt. I didn't mean to seem like I was trying to call you out or anything.
