As a matter of interest , what plug did you use? I was thinking of the piston hitting the plug. The "squish" gap might have been too tight .

Sweet. I installed the 18/56 gears. Cant wait till i get it broke in..I had a g290 in my baja with 19/55 gears. Best motor I've ever had. After 5 years of running it finally needed a topend. Very strong.
See im the same way with the 990. The 990 is the same carb as the 813 but without the accelerator pump. Ive never had issues starting a 990. Just is beyond me why people have issues starting with these carbs..Ive never had issues. Im a motocross guy so maybe my tuning by ear helps hearing tuned 2 strokes over the years..I ran the 813 carb and a rear dom pipe. Got clocked by a cop going 55mph across the soccer field in our town. Couple pulls always started without issues. I will always recommend it.
That's why I think 2wd buggy is the like, the hardest racing class due to so many handicaps like weight distribution and having your power come from a push config over a pull. But I'm a basher at heart so I live on going fast and jumping higher than entirely needed. I feel I can do that more safely with 5th scale. That's what makes em hard to handle in corners.
Too much weight in the rear.
Mid engine is a much better set up.
I just installed a g290. Don't have it broke in yet so I can't compare it to the stock 26cc yet....
Baja 5b He said he was running g290 with 19/55 gears
Must be the rotatory split. Possibly muffler bearings.Im running a modded engine with 19/55 gears and cant hit 50 lol. I must be doing something right
I'm still super new to engines, what's a good carb for the 320 and what differences do carbs make?
