Question on rpm,s

What kind of rpm,s are these different motors making, like stock zenoah, obr, rcmax. 27cc to 34cc piston port or reeds. You can also throw in big bores also. Just bought rpm gauge and I just curious to see what's these motors are revving at.

Highly dependent on the ENGINE, and set up. Most should be able to free rev up to 15k ish. The smaller ones can be wound much tighter, but again it's all dependent on the specific engine.

If it makes a poop, I have saws from 34 to 100 cc and they all rev use to the same. My 50cc saw runs in the cut @15.5k , the 100cc runs in the cut 13k both woods ported so nothing crazy.

Bigbores rev pretty high. I've seen a 71 do 16-17k rpm. The 85 Alx does 16k and does 25hp on malossis dyno.
Zenoah has rpm ratings on their engines I believe.

Need to remember most of these were designed to rev as well.

That has to do a lot with the powerband it is designed for.

as said in yer other thread, 19990rpm with obr 57cc twin,
and that was under load as well, don't have the pic of tto reading but i think this was the video where i gained max revs ,
perfect day, very short grass, dry ground, 32/1 mix if i remember right,

Is that vid done with a hypersmooth gopro? Video is very clear and no crazy vibrations.

Thought I read that my OBR 34 reed case could rev to about 18.5k . I could be wrong.

According to obr the max rpm of the 34 reed is 20k rpm (not under load)
