So... the pipe is a straight edge now, and it got a nice finish. Wasn't able to get the running in yesterday (getting dark) so ill prob get some break in running in today or tmrw. (sry didn't get a pic of pipe).

Ok so the pipe still leaks... heres what I was thinkin. Mabe because of the wobble when its lose, when I tighten it, the ports don't line up.

Would putting an x port help?

before i do that... is there any way to fix this... x-port, 2 gaskets, a thicker gasket??

Just grind the flange open more jr. You need to think outside the box when your being cheap.

flange cant open more, the diamiter of the pipe wont allow

Taper the flange into the pipe to make a funnel shape.

You can grind that thing plenty. The welds are on the outside of the pipe. Get to it jr. Make it funnel. Use the gasket as a template. The angle may be a bit steep bit it will work good enough.
